I believe there is a guide in the knowledge base for the Avalanche. It might be outdated, I haven't really looked at any of the guides.

If you have AIM or MSN, I can help you out there if you send me a message.

EDIT - And now that I think about it, check out Archi's EHM guide. Should be very helpful

Welcome to The Blue Line.

You can find a copy of our EHM Guide in .pdf form in the Downloads area and the online version via the link at the top of the page that says 'EHM Guide' it covers every aspect of the game including tactics. If you have a more specific question let us know, and please don't start threads with all capitals. You'll get a response around here pretty quickly no need to do anything more to draw attention to your thread.

Enjoy TBL as we are in fact that "good site" you're looking for 8-)

Even though my avatar may suggest othewise, I am an Avalnche fan through and through. You can win the cup with them in the first season. The key to the Avs is that you have to use what you have right now. You are right at the salary cap, and you really can't afford to make any major moves.

I would set my lines up like this:

Brunette-Sakic-Svatos
Tanguay-Turgeon-Hejduk
Konowalchuk-Laperriere-Hinote
Laaksonen-McLean-May

Blake-Briesbois
Liles-Boughner
Skrastins-Vaananen

Aebischer
Budaj or Kolesnik

Try to sign some young players to two way contracts and send them to Lowell. Hire a couple of good AC's, scouts, and trainers.

Focus your tactics on attacking, thats the reason I split your big first line. If you don't like the production out of Sakic's line then move Hejduk back to 1st.

Remember, even though money is tight, you don't have to trade away Blake or any star player. I think this team can do it.
