The Blue Line neither condones nor tolerates the use of pirate copies of EHM or any other software. Creating and/or obtaining pirate copies is illegal. As indicated in our Forum Rules, we will issue permanent bans to users committing such acts.
Users admitting to using/creating pirate copies of software, requesting/providing serial numbers, providing links to download pirate software, or any other such action will receive a permanent ban from the TBL Forums. I am sorry to come across as authoritarian but we simply cannot allow TBL to become a place for promoting or facilitating piracy. Not only is it illegal but it harms software companies and was a significant factor resulting in SI Games ceasing development of EHM.

If you want to try EHM 2007 before purchasing then you can download the Try 'n' Buy Demo. This allows you to try the full game (and is compatible with all EHM 2007 addons) for a six month period in game. After downloading the demo you can purchase a license to upgrade it to the full version, allowing you to continue playing your saved games beyond the six month period.
Contrary to some claims, it is still possible to purchase EHM 2007 (PC/Windows version) via SI Game's eLicense Store (I know of a user who successfully purchased a copy two days ago). The eLicense Store accepts major credit cards as well as PayPal. If you don't have a credit card, you can either pay by bank transfer via PayPal or, in many countries you can buy disposable pre-pay credit cards (I know Mastercard do this in North America and the UK). So there's a payment method available to everybody who has a bank account!
Unfortunately the Mac version of EHM 2007 is no longer on sale and I understand this makes it difficult for Mac users. One possible solution might be to try using a trial version of CrossOver Mac. CrossOver Mac allows you to install and run Windows software from within Mac OSX. It would be well worth trying to run the demo of EHM using a trial of CrossOver Mac. I must emphasise that this is not something I have tried (I don't have a Mac) and hence I recommend trying to use the trial version first. However, I have successfully installed and played EHM 2007 using CrossOver Linux so it is well worth a try.
