The place of birth is the city/states were he was born. That doesn't mean they can't know from what country he came from.

I see that a lot where the city and state aren't known but the nationality is.

Mostly that is because they are born in some city that is not in the editor. State comes with the cities and cannot be added on their own

It's a bug with the game. The playoff format is the giveaway. It should be home, home, away,away, home, away, home. If the schedule comes up like yours did it screws up the wins/loses. I've only had it happen to me once and luckily I won the series with 6 wins.

^ In my game, US was relegated in 2009-2010 I believe (the year all the Canadian, Russian, Swede regens come around in Lidas/Manimals 3.0 db)...they haven't been promoted back up yet (2012 offseason). Last season, they and Norway tied 4-1, both with 17 GF (NOR had 8 GA, USA had 7 GA), but when the two played each other, NOR won 4-2...so I guess that's why they got the promotion instead. Can't believe in 2011 when they US was stacked in the draft they didn't make it back up...must have had a terrible GM. Come to think of it, I remember looking at their roster and how awful it was, given how many great US and college players there were. Maybe next year I will apply for the job to get the US back in it.
