Evening teams out financially.

Hey all, love this game to death but I was looking for a little advice on how to make it a little more challenging myself. I always play the Habs and feel it gives me quite an advantage having more revenue, better fanbase, etc that let's me spend at the cap every year. While the teams are pretty balanced for the first while, it seems after 10 years or so some teams dramatically become less and less competitive. For example, in one of my games, the Buffalo Sabres' highest player makes 1.6 million and their personnel consists of a Managing Director and a GM/Head Coach, that's it. They might as well be playing in the AHL.

What are all the values I would want to change in the pre-game editor to make things completely even across the NHL so things don't degrade like this?

The no staff is a bug that happens from time to time, or it might have to do with the finances :dunno:

I spent quite a lot of time trying to get the EIHL teams to their correct attendances; it took a while but I just ended up varying reputation, fan support, avg attendance & market size I think. They seemed to vary the finances & avg attendances quite a lot by playing about with them, it can take a while though :doh:

Are you playing the latest version? (3.0.4) This is strange.

That personnel thing is a bug that creeps up from time to time. Take over the Sabres with a new GM, then immediately retire. The club will snap back and start to hire personnel again.
