Lidas 4.0 research help wanted
Hey guys!
Updating the rosters takes a lot of time and I would like you guys to help out.
What I need is volunteers to calculate Current Ability and Strength.
This is done by using stats(CA) and size(strength). I have put together a simple Excel-sheet for this. It can be downloaded here:
http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... 09#p121809
All leagues needs to be done. I will do some of them.
When calculating this please use the rosters and stats from the 2010-2011 season. If you can't find them, let me know and I will guide you to them.
The NHL CA will then be re-calculated by me with an average over the last three seasons, where the latest one is valued higher
Leagues and researchers:
NHL - Manimal
KHL - Ryujin/Stastny 26 CA FINISHED

Put me down for WHL and all western Junior, Midget and Bantam leagues (BCHL, AJHL, MJHL, etc).
NCAA really needs to get updated. I'm not gonna throw my hat into the ring with anything but the WHL just yet.

Awesome!Calv wrote:I'll have a go at the British leagues again, although I won't be able to get to many games next season...
But I have to say to everyone that if you choose to do these calculations for a league doesn't mean you have to do any other research for those leagues

Put me down for the OHL...I could probably do one of the NHL Conferences as well, let me know which if that would work.

Re: Lidas 4.0 research help wanted
Anybody know the total number of teams in the game for all of NCAA? I'm working on USHL and many of the guys for 2010/2011 will be in the NCAA next year. It might be as simple as putting these new guys on the right team and then adding the missing guys. I'm not committing to that at this point, but we'll see how the USHL and NAHL goes first.

I found this site for those who are doing leagues that have some college-recruited players and didn't know about it. It has college commitments for many of the junior leagues (U.S. and Canada).

Manimal-
Would you prefer that I add all the AHL players on one spreadsheet or would it be better to have separate ones for each team? (asking here for the benefit of other researchers)

I have found it was easier to do all the players on one spreadsheet for comparison purposes.timmy_t wrote:Manimal-

Ok, one more quick question please: After I insert the AHL stats to calculate CA and find the player's strength with their correct Height/Weight, do I need to do anything else to the spreadsheet? (Like note where the player is different in the current DB?)Manimal wrote:All in one is easier for metimmy_t wrote:Manimal-

Stupid question, do we take IRL stats or stats in EHM after first season
I Could do Finnish Suomi-Sarja which is not in the list by the way
And if it is successful I can maybe try to do some other league

You can if you want to, but you don't have to. It would be great if you did!timmy_t wrote: Ok, one more quick question please: After I insert the AHL stats to calculate CA and find the player's strength with their correct Height/Weight, do I need to do anything else to the spreadsheet? Just put it in the player changes
Like Calv said, it is the real life stats we want.Saapas wrote:Stupid question, do we take IRL stats or stats in EHM after first season![]()

You are welocome to do the Suomi-Sarja. In game it is called the Suomi Division and has a league reputation of six. You probably now how many games the play per season(I don't)
