That sound fairly accurate! :-D
But you really have to raise your hat to guy who has battled through all sorts of painful stuff, such as a snake bite, Alexander Edler's shot in the face and a ruptured testicle to eventually get to the Stanley Cup finals! :notworthy:
From what i hear, the snake that bit Salo actually missed some time after the incident with a nasty infection and back spasms.

The scary part is that Salo's notorious genitalia will now be in the way of Chara's slapshots for at least four games. This may not end well...

I cheer for the Bruins for these reasons: Krejci & Kaberle (it's two days with the Cup in the Czech republic), Original Six team, b72.
I'd cheer for the Canucks for these reasons: Canadian team, I have friends at Vancouver Island, batdad.

Summary: let's go Bruins :-D

Seeing how everything in the playoffs has gone how I didn't want it to, I'd venture to say the Bruins will win. I know there are some Bruins fans here, and I understand that this probably isn't what they want to hear. Quite frankly, they are an awesome team with incredible depth, but as a fellow northeast division rival, it just pains me to see them in the Cup Final.

Knowing my luck, I'd say Bruins in 4.

Mostly beacause i want to hear Jack Edwards go absloutely bats**t crazy because of it! :-D

I'd love to see Sami Salo win the cup though, he's had really, really bad luck throughout his career. All those injuries... 8-[
I've missed Jack Edwards' over-the-top play calling since the games went national.

Bruins in 4 is as funny as my Canucks in 5.
Bruins are way less hated than the Canucks. The Canucks have Kesler, Bieksa, Burrows, Lapierre. THey have traditionally brought hatred along with them. No fan of any other NHL team likes those guys. They would love them if they played for "their"team. CBC and the national Canadian media keep trying to make the Canucks the "Canadian" team to cheer for. Not happening. Canucks are hated in Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto. Montreal does not care about the Canucks as they are too self important and no rivalry with Vancouver. Ottawa? They have no clue about the NHL. May as well be Florida.

There are Boston fans all throughout the Prairie provinces as they and the Rangers in the old days had protected areas in those provinces. Same with the Maritimes. Vancouver--not well liked anywhere in Canada. Americans in general either cheer only for their team, or have no interest in hockey.

I guarantee there are WAY WAY more people out there who think the Canucks are the bad guys than think the Bruins are.

I have grown up in Vancouver and although I am way more of a hockey fan than a Canuck fan...I do have some feeling for the organization. You cannot help it, they are everything to this city. There are many many fans...the whole 3 million people are on the bandwagon. Many are morons...but it is the same percentage of moron fans as there are in every city. Just the Canucks have so many supporters..there are more idiots.

When I look at this series, I have no hatred for Boston (I mean LOOCH as you know is one of my faves.) But I just cannot see Boston with their special teams and the way they play the game handling Vancouver 4 times in 7 games. Vancouver is just too deadly. They kill you too many ways.

That could be a turn over in this series for real. Will not be surprised if the Nucks gets alot of stupid penalties and weird calls. Bettman probably wants an American team to win so everything is possible.

I fail to see how putting the Bruins on the powerplay is trying to help them win.

Nah. Greg CAmpbell not hated anywhere near as much as the Nucks boys. Guys just go" ooohhhhh yer daddy gonna save you again Greggy?" Then Greggy runs and hides. Most just laugh.

That being said..should the Canucklehead fans perceive even one bad call or one missed call against the B's in this series..you can bet there will be alot of hatred beginning. already started I guess with the editorial about how Colin Campbell should be stepping out of his job for this series. I see no issue. Like you said...give the B's all the PPs they want. Canucks will score more shorties than B's get on the PP :-D

Philou--Montreal Canadians fans///they crack me up. Every thing you say to them..the answer is "We have 24 cups". How's about trying to win one in this decade boys? Arrogance is more the word. Although much less so than 10 years ago.

I haven't seen Greg Campbell do any running and hiding this year. Actually, I've been pretty impressed with him. He's a tough guy when called upon. Many people thought he was a throw-in on the Horton deal but he's actually been a pretty key part of our 4th line. I want the Bruins to hang on to him.

And any whining about the Bruins or Greg Campbell getting special treatment because of his dad is just sour grapes. Seriously, what a weak excuse.

There's no one on the Nucks roster to run away from, unless you're Kaberle maybe, anyway :D

YOu guys are going to get a surprise. Kevin Bieksa is EXTREMELY tough. But yeah the Canucks have no intention of fighting with any one. They just go out and play. Hey maybe we dress Tanner Glass and Viktor Oreskovich. Oh wait..those guys just help the B's.

You have heard that Manny Malhotra has been cleared to play? This guy is the emotional leader of the Canucks. He is something else. Even if he only comes in and plays 4th line instead of Hodgson and takes a few draws he will be a HUGE boost to the Nucks.

campbell is a pansy. Sorry middleweight pansy. Just like his daddy.

But yes...any whining about the Colin Campbell daddy boss stuff is just that..pathetic whining. the dumb ass fans in Vancouver (10-15%_) bandwagonners are very vocal. And they will whine every time a penalty is called on Vancouver.

Don't worry, I heard this sentence more than I need too, probably you too. :-D At Vcr you say 10-15% of idiots fans but here it's almost 50-50. Each time I tell them that I didn't know they were playing in the team and help them won the cup. It piddle me off so much when they are saying this, it's like they are the center of the world. ](*,)

Everyone has 10-15% idiot fans in Canada. It is only 50-50 when you go across the 49th parallel. :-D

I've got to disagree with you on this. Campbell is no pansy. I can't stand his dad but Greg is a good hockey player that's not afraid to do the dirty work.

Disagree all you want! I like to rile it up. BTW--That Savard guy, what a baby. A little knock to the head..get back on the ice. :-D (/OLD SCHOOL)

Ference? Is he really on the team still? Molasses.
and you guys have to use Seidenberg for half the game? I mean I know he is decent, but umm....dude could not get 20 minutes in Florida.

I saw a sign today (a guy had it taped to his car here in Vancouver)

HORTON FEARS A LOU!!!

For some reason, I cracked up. So did my 7 year old daughter. Dr Seuss..gets me every time.

Seidenberg has been a beast in the playoffs this year and he's made a nice pairing with Chara. Ference is pretty good when healthy (which he has been this season). The d-man that I've been a bit frustrated with this year (other than Kabermallow) is Boychuk. He's just not the same player that he was last year.

Horton has been awesome! It's also destiny that he leads the Bruins to a Stanley Cup. Right around the same time that Horton was traded to the Bruins, I bought a house on Horton Street. Guess what street is right next to Horton Street? Stanley Ave! It's fate!

Where is that Facebook "Like" button? 8-)

Oh and did everyone hear that Colin Campbell has lost his job? So now the whiners have one less thing to whine about.
