Jets is a great name. No question. For the WHA. I love the Winnipeg Jets. You know why? They are the loveable losers. Just like I love the NY Jets for the same reason.

Everyone glorifies what the Jets were. Which was a perennial foil for the likes of Gretzky and Messier. A stat padding machine, just like the Canucks were back in the day. Winnipeg always had great players, but the only ones that stayed there were the guys in the WHA. I hope that is not the case now...

But Hawerchuk, Selanne, Tkachunk. They all left. Khabi did not til after Phoenix came in, but that was late. Steen is the only one who stuck it out for the career. Doan was late in as well.

Not sure how long alot of these guys will stick around. But I hope things are better with the economy and cap now. We don't need another Minnesota Wild.
