EHM Database Help

Post by 98765432lop »

I wanted to make my own 06-07 database but add real life prospects. I did that but I also changed the RSL into KHL, Lester into Ted Lindsay, and I changed the Thrashers to the Jets.

It says unable to load Thashers_index, RSL, and Lester_index. Any way I can fix this?

Have you checked out the Official Pre-Game Editor thread? Your answers and more are in there (and IMO it's great/valuable knowledge considering the editing project you're undertaking)...

In short, there are a number of NHL teams you can not overwrite and the Thrashers are one of them...are the Atlanta Thrashers team no longer in your db? That would probablly be the problem (it seems the game "looks" for certain teams at start-up and as long as they're all there you are generally OK).

It's probably best not to overwrite any team in the db, and best to always have all teams in a League somewhere in the db (I just modified the WHL and I created a "WHL Moved" League and that is where I put all the teams I moved out so I could put the teams I wanted into the WHL)

And League names (RSL to KHL), along wiith Division/Conference names, can not be edited (sounds like the game is llooking for the RSL and can't find it at start-up).

Regards

You could always name some distant unknown team as Atlanta Thrashers. I believe that has been tested and works. Although it may cause crashes in the long run. Or may not. Who knows.

Like Nino said, check out the Editor thread. Use search. Most things you may encounter have been discuessed a hundred times. ;)
