Small error after DB change

Post by B. Stinson »

I just got done a database where I made any NHL team/city with an old team/team name go back to their old names and colors (while keeping city and everything else current). Personally, I like it, but when I try starting a new game I get an error that says "Connot find PHOENIX_COYOTES index." This comes up within a few seconds after clicking "start new game," and doesn't come up for any other team that I renamed, just Phoenix. Also, the game allows me to continue to picking teams as normal, and I saw no errors or missing stuff from any teams.

Does anyone know if this is a bad thing, or should I just ignore it?

If everything is working fine, I find no reason not to ignore it.

Could it be that in the cfg file where you put player transfers, retirements, etc. that it mentions Phoenix but that team has been renamed in the game?

Very good thought, which never crossed my mind... but I looked in the file and a bunch of the teams that I renamed have transfers in the cfg file, but they never had an error...?

I'll change them anyway, though, because it looks like that could cause some problems down the road.

EDIT: I made the config file changes, but it doesn't look like that was doing it. I still get the error. But again, it doesn't seem to affect anything, so I think I'll just ignore it for now.
