episode three was boring for the most part. As was two. This is becoming a played out process. The players and coaches are being too careful. Either that or HBO is screwing the pooch.

Have to admit though: Bryz still good with his 3 different, no 4, no 5 different face stuff.

That Hartnell, Read, Couturier, (Schenn??) going to church thing hilarious. And he is a bachelor now. That tells you a little more about the Carter trade considering the rumours last year. And yeah..Hartnell hanging out with the young guys...hmm...wonder what is going on there. :-D

Yeah, episode one was great but two and three have been dull for the large part (but admittedly there were still some interesting bits in episodes two and three nonetheless).

Bryzgalov is such a dude. Every episode he has come out with something brilliant.

Hartnell has the stereotypical boy's bachelor pad - arcade machines, table tennis, etc. I couldn't believe they went to church - and said prayers before eating their Christmas meal! :D Oh, and Brian Boyle's family is huge! :-o His mum would have been pregnant for nearly ten years of her life...

There's an interesting article about the Steve Ott exchanges during the Dallas game. The episode gave me the impression that Ott was being an ass, but the article suggests HBO perhaps showed it out of context: http://starsblog.dallasnews.com/archive ... n-tun.html

Favourite quote of the episode: "F*** of Lundqvist" when the Flyers' bench was trying to rile Lunqvist as he skated back to the net for the next period. [-X :-D

Wow did someone watched the game USA vs the Czech?? The US was supposed to be one of the favorite of the tournament. The Czech played really well and that goalie called Mzarek, holy molly!!!! That's one hell of a show that guy both on the ice and with his attitude! :-D Heard it's the Wings that picked him in 2010, maybe Hasek regen? :-p

Ott was not really being an ass. He is one, but in this case Laviolette is the idiot. Hey Petey...didn't you see all those non Philly jerseys going in the tunnel? May want to avoid that.

Oh and Czech beating USA....BWAH HAHAHAHAAHAAHAHA. Saad has been horrible for the USA. He appeared to have his ticket to the NHL punched already...but he is not getting things done. And he has been one of the best USA players.

Fipping TV channels I stumbled upon the start of the Flyers-Rangers (outdoor) alumni game...it was cool for me to see some of the old Flyers, and extra special to see 66 year old Bernie Parent take part (IMO a classy move by Duguay when he shot it right at Parent on his breakaway)

As an old time Flyer fan..I totally agree. Kindrachuk: Was that a wig and fake stache? Or just lots of dye?

I agree. He probably could have easily put it in, and it would have been a real bummer.

And I love that Parent used the good ol' pads and mask; Not the flashy modern stuff that the team surely had laying around.
In fact, I've always wished I was in the NHL, simply to bring that look back to goal-tending. Plain white Itech mask, and custom brown pads and gloves; Nothing "design-y" or painted, just plain old brown pads. :daydream:

Did anybody catch the Winter Classic yesterday?

I thought it was a thoroughly enjoyable game and it really heated up in the second half. What a way to end the game with a penalty shot!

I wish the Rags and Flyers always wore those retro jerseys. IMHO they look better than their current ones.

I was going to watch it but when they delayed the game they changed it to a channel I don't have here in Sweden. Because of the WJC game

Great job by Lars Eller yesterday! Awesome game for the young guy! And one of the most longest lethargy in the NHL stopped too with the goal of Kaberle. 75 games without a goal I think? Oh and Cunneyworth said one sentence in french after the game with a stupid smile on his face. I liked that it's like he was almost laughing in people's face "Look at me I'm speaking french shut up now!" :-D

And what a nice suspension for Carcillo, he really deserved it. =D>

Carcillo and Bourque. That hit Bourque laid out was brutal...Carcillo was really bad place bad time. Up against the wall...that hit is nothing. But yeah he deserved it.

Eller was awesome yesterday.

Yeah Bourque's suspension is good too but I didn't like that Carcillo almost catapulted his opponent when the board was coming, that is just plain stupid. In the middle of the ice it would've been just a big hit but at this place it was dangerous.

Do you think Canada Junior team will save their butts tonight? If they would've played the 1st period against Russia they would've won. ](*,)

Nope. When Canada does not win gold, there is no saving face. Not good enough. I don't care if they win or not.

Whoa that's pretty harsh. :-D We can't always have the gold medal, it would be boring at some point.

Eller's penalty shot was incredible!

The Jets' defence wasn't up to much really... :dunno:

Yeah that's true! Montreal was just everywhere in the third, for a rare time this season, and to score 3 goals in 50 seconds, the other team's defense isn't much there for sure. :-D

Never boring. Hockey Canada strives to win all the time. If they don't...they have fallen short, and nothing is good enough but finishing 1st. Nothing. Mistakes in player selection, coaching, everything that went on does not make up for the fact that they worked hard for 10 minutes and almost pulled off a miracle comeback. They just were not prepared. So....finishing 3rd...not enough.

Wow what an attitude, and fun in that? Never heard of this? I know this tournament is important but you probably have the worst attitude a coach need IMO.

Heh. It never fails to get people's goats. It is not the end of the world or anything that they lost. But I have never cared about 3rd place in anything. My object is to win. If I don't there is something I did not do right. Don Hay is the same way. Pretty good coach he is...

While not NHL news, some NHL prospects have been traded in the OHL, the OHL trade deadline is on the 10th, but yesterday was a busy day, 7 trades. Including Ryan Spooner heading from Kingston to Sarnia, and Greg McKegg heading from Erie to London.

It must have been a pain to watch for the Flames fans! :-D I was already surprised that it was 5-0 just in the middle of the second but later I checked and it was 9-0 the final score. :-o

Thanks! But I never watch games I already know the score of unless I hear they are something extra-ordinary(and that game wasn't)

Great to see the Swedes win the Junior gold! Too bad Canada never showed up in the semis. I would have liked to see a final against them
