I have tried installing on a new computer and something is not working right. I started with Application number 456 to install the program and then applied application 469 (patch 3.04). The problem is this still has the error where the Wild farm teams are wrong and the Austin Ice Bats won't accept any players. I thought a patch had taken cafe of this. Any advice? Really need more than one farm team.
Would also appreciate any advice on order to tackle upgrading rosters, prospects, teams to current NHL status. Kind of overwhelming how much there is to update.
Thanks

Re: Installation problem
I'm not sure I understand, as you titled the thread installation problem and you're talking about application numbers...but if you're complaining about affiliations I'm thinking you didn't really have an installation/application issue...if you've got EHM07 up and running but haven't updated rosters in any way, then maybe the default (2006) rosters/affiliations is what you're encountering?nstarsfan wrote:I have tried installing on a new computer and something is not working right. My advice would be download the latest version of the Manimal rosters http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... =77&t=8690nstarsfan wrote:Would also appreciate any advice on order to tackle upgrading rosters, prospects, teams to current NHL status. I also highly recommend you spend some time checking out the TBL site further, as there is a wealth of EHM information/resources available (and a pretty good community too!)

Re: Installation problem
I'm confused too! Exactly what is the problem with regards to installation? It sounds like you've got it up and running okay.
The application numbers relate to the exe files (SI named each exe file with a number). 456.exe is presumably the original installation exe and 469.exe is presumably the v3.0.4 patch.

Re: Installation problem
You're correct that it is functioning. However, I am missing something to have it working right. The original game had a problem where some farm teams were missing, incorrect and/or saying they were full and couldn't accept more players. Meaning some teams had only one farm team option. No way to develop multiple goalies, etc.
I recall a patch or some form of code being posted on here to fix that problem. I searched the site for it but am not finding it. I am trying to find how to make that adjustment as patch 3.04 does not fix that issue. That is correct 456 is the installation and 469 is 3.04 patch.
I'd like to fix that problem before I update to 2011 rosters, teams, etc. Then it seems like lots of new tinkering to make that happen. Does that make sense? Thanks.
Update: I think I have it at least allowing players to go on the farm team. So, seems to be working

Re: Installation problem
I have never heard of this problem; I bought the game in the summer of 2010, applied the 3.04 patch and that's it! No additional patch/code was needed (and no issues using different databases).nstarsfan wrote:The original game had a problem where some farm teams were missing, incorrect and/or saying they were full and couldn't accept more players...I recall a patch or some form of code being posted on here to fix that problem...Does that make sense?
The default database has some "fake names" because SI didn't have the legal liscence required.....And because the number of teams in a league is "hardcoded" and can't be changed (from what it was in 2006) some "creative editing" is required with database updates.....Maybe this is what you're thinking about?

Re: Installation problem
Yeah...nino is right. There is no problem with farm teams in the game that was corrected in any patch. At least to my knowledge. Fact is...many NHL teams only had one farm team, and some still only have one farm team. The issue around farm teams will always exist, as the AHL expanded post EHM 2007 having development shut down. No way to make 30 AHL teams as there are now.So....some of the AHL teams have to play in the ECHL, just like one WHL team has to play in an alternate Junior league.
If you have an ECHL team as your farm team.. you are able I believe to edit their dependency for players on your NHL team, giving you the ability to send most of your prospects to them. (Example in Manimal 3...Bridgeport Sound Tigers got sent to ECHL from AHL, and the Islanders are able to send all their guys to them.

Re: Installation problem
ALSO if the NHL team you wanted to use has an ECHL affiliate you could use the PreGame Editor to "swap" your ECHL farm team with a team in the AHL (thereby givinng yourself an AHL affiliate, and one of the NHL AI teams would then have the ECHL affiliate)batdad wrote:If you have an ECHL team as your farm team.. you are able I believe to edit their dependency for players on your NHL team
