EHM07 - Trading - Feedback and information

Post by bubbas »

First of, sorry if this is me beating a dead horse but I tried to search for any threads but with no success :-k

My question is:

Has anyone been able to figure out the "We have reservations that our roster would become problematic should this deal go ahead." actually means when in a trade discussion with a CPU team :-?

I've been trying with any kind of combinations I can think of and most times that sentence pops up only to make me cry out 'WHY!?!?!?' ](*,) 8-[ :help:

Yes I like smileys but would be greatly thankful for any advise on this one.

It's simply because they will have too much d-man or too much RW for giving an example. At least it's the way I've always understood it. Sometimes if a team got 14 foward and I was trying to trade 2 foward players for a pick, they said that.

That I understand but it makes no sense when the same thing pops up when the offer is for an example pro d + a farm d for a pro d + a farm d :-?

Yeah that happenned to me too. The only thing I can think about is that maybe the AI is looking if the d-man is a left or right, maybe that can influence. Maybe they even check if the d-men is an offensive or defensive one and if they have too many of them they don't like it, but that statement goes maybe a little too far for a game. :-D

Yeah, after years upon years of EHM playing, I'm slowly beginning to realize that SI was a bit lazy and made a 'one line to fix them all'-phrase. Just wish they could have made it some more descriptive and easier to understand. This was mostly a last ditch gamble to see if anyone had actually managed to break that phrase :brilliant:
