Converting between EA Sports NHL style ratings and EHM
So im trying to create players. I used the create a star template to be realistic, but it was hard to get players to be how I wanted them. I made them already in NHL 04-12, and I want to start an EHM game with them. How would you recommend turning a 90 overall star into a Junior B 2nd/1st liner while still letting him become that 90 overall player in his prime, but starting out "average" as a 15 year old
I also want 2 88 Defensmen to be 3/4th in Jr B 15 year olds
a 86 overall Centre as a 2nd liner 15 year old
a 86 overall Left wing as a 2nd liner 15 year old
a 90 overall goalie as a 1B at 15
2 83 overall wingers as 3rd liners at 15, 88 at prime
an 84 overall defencman as a 5th D at 15, 87 at prime
and an 81 overall centre as a 4th/3rd liner at 15, 85 at prime
help me translate them over?

Re: What do you recommend?
By overall I guess you mean Current Ability?
Their 15 year old CA would probably be between 35 and 45

I don't play that so you'll have to explain their rating systemAnimal31 wrote:No, by overall I mean overall from NHL 12

Re: What do you recommend?
Well every attribute is rated out of 99, and overall is as well
For example, Crosby is 94 [or so] overall with 99 passing
Ovie is 93, Parise is 91, Kovy is 91, etc
75 and up is considered NHL capable I would think, which doesnt translate to the 100 being a 4th liner in EHM as times it by 2 would mean 150 is NHL capable, so I have no idea what to do to properly make a 2nd line JR B player at 15 become a 1st line franchise winger at 25

Re: What do you recommend?
An 80+ player would then be too good for Junior B and play for Major Junior instead.
I will post my suggestions later as I do not have the time right now
BTW, I have moved this thread to the proper editing-forum

Re: What do you recommend?
Try these
It is also hard to set them as average 15 year olds. I expect these to be picked up by major junior teams right away
The EHM ratings are much more complex than EA Sports so they might not be correct.Animal31 wrote: I also want 2 88 Defensmen to be 3/4th in Jr B 15 year olds CA=38, PA=170

Estimated attribute values by CAAnimal31 wrote:What about their actual attributes in the pregame editor?
CA AVR MIN MAXAlessandro wrote:Roughly the CA it's the average of the relative attributes multiplied by 10.
10 4,5 1,0 10,5
20 5,0 1,0 11,0
30 5,5 1,0 11,5
40 6,0 1,0 12,0
50 6,5 1,0 12,5
60 6,0 1,0 13,0
70 7,5 1,5 13,5
80 8,0 2,0 14,0
90 8,5 2,5 14,5
100 9,0 3,0 15,0
110 9,5 3,5 15,5
120 10,0 4,0 16,0

140 11,0 5,0 17,0
150 11,5 5,5 17,5

170 12,5 6,5 18,5

190 13,5 7,5 19,5
200 14,0 8,0 20,0
This does not mean that MAX value is the hard cap value. Same with the MIN value. This is just a guideline. In some cases you will encounter a talented low-mid level CA skater, aggressive enforcer, or a really strong, but otherwise poor or average player. Non-technical and mental attributes may vary a lot, depending on the individual, whereas technical attributes tend to correlate with the guidelines.

Re: What do you recommend?
but how would that affect their careers and junk?
Would they still get to their potential? or would they get to their potential with bad attributes?

Re: What do you recommend?
The attributes will raise when their CA raises. The PA is the max level they can reach, but it is not guaranteedAnimal31 wrote:but how would that affect their careers and junk?

Re: What do you recommend?
I really wish I was better at this...in NHL you just give hardcoded numbers and if gives you their "CA"
In this game CA doesnt really matter, my 147 left winger on franchise was better than Kovlachuk could ever be that gam
