I was using the save game manager to tweak some young players attribute to more accurate, then it hit me, can the potential rating of a young player change with time? Also, does the staff in the farm team (ie Head Coach, GM, etc.) have a major impact on the development of my prospects? If it does, is there a way to manage the big club AND the farm team at the same time?

Yes all the way around as far as I know.

Prospects can have varying potential, sometimes they play great, other times they bust. If you have a coach that's high in "Working With Youngsters" your young guys will develop faster than if they were playing under someone like, say, Pat Quinn.

To manage the big club and farm team at the same time just go to Game Setup (I think, I'm working off a bad memory at the moment) and click on "Add GM" and find your farm team.

Yeah, you can even add a third GM to run your ECHL team and AHL teams; we let people know about that in the Challenge rules as they have the option to 'run' their AHL team during Challenges ;)

Even if you just hire coaches and an assistant GM and set it to 'vacation' and occasionally check in on the lines I think it gives your young talent a huge boost.
