RS12 Card Facepack Design

Post by Andyjayp »

Hey,

I have recently been working on doing a new facepack desgin. It is very simular to the 'RS09' card design, but with a bit of the TBL 2007 design thrown in. Infact it is the same as the 'RS09' desgin, but with the TBL 2007 name bar (as I preffer that style name bar). I originally made these cards to go with Weissy's EHM 2012 Skin, but they can be used with any skin.

Here is a comparison pic to let you know what it looks like.

So far I have only completed the Elite Ice Hockey League (the UK's league) in this style. I'm hoping to finish the NLA soon and start work on the NHL, and other european leagues.

Thanks
AndyJayP

P.S. I dont know why the picture is a little blurry. I'll upload some better samples later on.

The legend returns!! :-D How are you? How old is your child now?

Nice job with the new card design. Would it all be possible to upload the template at some point? A lot of people have commented on how nice the RS09 design is and have asked about the existence of a template.

It's very nice to see a new UK face pack - I'm personally very pleased about this news. This will work well with the UK 2012/13 research I'm doing for the Manimal rosters. Have you based them on the 11/12 rosters or the rosters as they are today? Should it be of any help, I have a spreadsheet of all players and DOBs who are currently contracted to EIHL teams.

It's great to see you back, Andy! It's also nice to see you back doing some great design work. I love the new card design. As Archie said, I'd love to see you release a template for this so you can get some help making cards and we can get a bunch of leagues done.

Is there anything in particular about RS09 or RS12 for why you prefer RS12?

Yes, the flag! The RS09 flag is very very good, this one doesn't meet my taste :dunno:

Fair point! I do like the effect on the RS09 flag.

I wonder if it is possible to add the effect to the curved flag on the RS12 card.

That could be interesting. I too liked the almost "paintbrush" effect on the RS09 design. The rough edges and streakiness gave it a cool look.

Thanks I think. I wouldn't really call me a legend. I'm not to bad. She is 1 1/2 years old now. And nothing but trouble. Yeah, I'll upload the template in the next few days, once I have figured out how, As things have changed a bit since I last uploaded anything.

In regards to the facepack. They are from the the 11/12 rosters. I was thinking about doing an update pack when the new season started to bring the rosters up to date. The spreadsheety thing might be a good idea. Thanks.

Thanks. It's good to be back, although things have changed a bit since I was here last. I do have a few more leagues lined up. But it's the getting the source files thats the time consuming bit, the making of the cards is rather a quick process onces I get into the flow of it.

Hmm.... It surely is possble. Well its worth a try I suppose. I'll probably give it a try after the weekend when I have more time and have thought about it a bit. Although I think I know how it could be done. Leave it with me, I'll try and sort something out. Hopefully it'll tick all the right boxes.

Well this seems a bit reduntant now....
But here is the extra samples I promised.

I like them!

However, I could do without the text on the side. I'd prefer to just have EHMTHEBLUELINE.COM below the pictures. We all know what game we are playing
