New to the game but addicted. Been able to figure most everything out with help from the various resources. But I can't figure this one out.
Trying to send a player or two down to my ECHL affiliate.
I know about the 20-man roster limit, however I'm in September (pre-season). It tells me at the bottom of the roster page for this ECHL team "no roster limit".
Don't want to just start cutting guys from that ECHL team if that's not the issue. Plus I wanted them to compete in practice and training camp to see who wins the roster spot.
Is there some limit to the number of "NHL-Rights" players you can have on an ECHL team? I don't see what else it could be, unless there really is a 20-man roster limit in September, even thou it says there isn't.
Help - Not enough space on roster ??

Re: Help - Not enough space on roster ??
It's a bug.... What it says isn't what it does. Same goes for during the season with guys on IR. It will say 19 on the roster but you won't be able to send anyone down to fill in. I usually end up managing my ECHL team so I at least have a bit of control on how things happen. If you are running the ECHL team you can have guys on a tryout to take the place of an injured player. Only time you can have more than 20 players is if you have an open training camp but they all end up being scrubs so it's not much use.

Re: Help - Not enough space on roster ??
I'm sure others have figured this out already.
This is kind of a work around.
If you are able (they are signed to your ECHL team specifically) you can send guys down from your ECHL team. I don't know all the levels of hockey. For the team I'm running that's a SPHL team.
Then send down the guys you want to from your NHL/AHL teams.
Then call back up your ECHL guys from the SPHL team.
