Tuuka Rask HELP

Post by chrisyboy23 »

First of all, I am not sure if this is in the right forum or not but oh well..

I am playing as Boston with the Manimal 5.0 update.
I am currently at the start of my 2nd season after finishing with the President's Trophy and Eastern runner-up.
However, when Tim Thomas retired through injuring, I was forced to stick with Tuuka Rask for the remainder of the season, and he turned out great. Most games we ended with just 1 or 2 goals against - 3 at the max.
But now, after trading for Brian Elliot as back up and sticking with Rask, I am conceding 5 or more goals every game? Even against teams who we are much stronger than.
( 7 goals conceded in season's first game against Anaheim, then 5 conceded against Washington, 5 against San Jose and 6 against Phoenix). (in the middle of that I have a 6-3 win over Winnipeg and a 6-1 win over Minnesota).
MY DEFENCE:
Chara - Shea Weber
Rundblad - Mike Green
Bogasian - McQuaid
(Brendan Smith as the 7th man)

So, my question is: is there anything I can do about it? I know EHM is famous for high-scoring games, but this is unreal (RAsk has 89 in blocker/glove, 91 for positioning/reflexes, and 99 for rebound control/recovery).

Guys, this is the right thread for your posts (it is sticky!).

Are you sure you don't overheat him? I mean, give him some rest. Sometimes just swap your lines a little to give your team new impulse. It depends on both team and personal tactics you order your players. Try something different since your opponents often get used to your play after some time. Change your tactics and lineup.
