Farm Teams Question

I thought since knowledge was the part to ask questions i would come here and ask it... Was wondering if i played as a AHL team and didnt have a NHL parent club would NHL teams send me loans for players?

I've never seen the NHL AI offer player on loan. They will release their players if they do not have affiliates to assign them to

I think I remember one case where they did in my game at least

I think it was something really specific or something, like my AHL team didnt have any goalies because of injuries and philly was like "Here lowell, take our worst goalie, im sure the new jersey prospects will love that"

well with Hamilton being 50/50 chance of not renewing with Montreal i wanted to try playing without a nhl parent club but wasnt sure if other nhl teams would loan out there players or not...

edit the database so no NHL team has an affiliate and see what happens

So yes

the NHL just releases players to fit under the limit if they have no affiliates

I think I've seen loan players in the AHL. Goalies only though. No defenders or forwards.
