So ive been running a few tests, ill document them in this thread

for the Blank Database

The most notable is that CA does not improve as time goes on
Individual players get better, but they get better to the strength of their oponents. IE, at 26, the 3 players I added (regens) are only at 80 average, with 200PA, and playing in the NHL

another is NHL teams dont get the best players, the 2nd best defencmen by CA is currently in Sweden, is 27, and has a PA of 123, but his CA is only 88

What this means going forward, I have no clue.

According to the scout tool;
5442 Players, 981 Non players, and 3140 Clubs at end

It started with
5439, 3509, 3140, at least with another start up

I added 6 players, 20 non players, and unknown clubs myself

I dont know if 3000 staff retired over 60 years, or if the database started with less.

In all 20 attribute, 200 CA database

one in which every player was rated 20 in every attribute, and every regen inharited the 20's somehow
some players dropped, some dropped CA, but most if not all players were 20/99 in junior

In all 100 CA, 10 attribute, 150PA

Players dont seem to be developing

The most ive seen is a few points from sven baertschi, and only stamina and strength have improved more than that

players with 155 Pa have been found, game did spawn players with 10PA. Players with 10CA, 150 PA have been regened, still alot of 100/150 16 year olds in 2019

My questions would be what are the settings for Club Training Facility and StaffNonPlayer Youngsters, Judging Potential, Coaching FWD, D, Goalie ect in your test files.

I dont think I touched staff or clubs in my non blank databases

I just ran a limited test of two identical players playing on a 10, and 20 training team with no coaches, and no practice. Turns out it didnt make a difference

Ill see what happens when those teams are in the NHL

I just ran a test with 5 players. They were 16, CA 100, PA 200, every attribute 10, all the same hight and weight

All the attributes except determination and work rate

1 player had 20, 20, another was 20,10, another was 10, 20, another was 10,10, and the last was 1,1

the players with high Determination had higher attributes at the age of 30, but the players with higher workrate had better average ratings in stats. Except at the same time...they didnt. 10,10 had higher attributes than 20,20 by 2, sometimes 3 points, and despite all being 200PA, none scored more than .5 points per game. So I really have no idea what either of the attributes do

So I edited a couple of assistant gms to be all 1s and all 20s respectivly, then looked at the teams to see how different they were rated
