Re: Official 2013 NHL Playoff Thread
I thought Danny's comment was just a bit of hyperbole
The broadcasters I've heard watching the games tonight are all questioning the suspension
I myself miss "old time hockey" when such a pass and such an oblivious pass reciever was something that was considered a problem

It was a clean hit not even worthy of a minor penatly because it's a dumb pass and a dumb way to receive a hit, that and not making fun of Eller is the point. What's this got to do with respect ? The Walrus is coming for you !philou21 wrote:Dumbass can't take a hit. Wow that's one of the most stupid statement I ever read her, never heard of the word respect? Oh wait no, you're a Bruins fan. I know you hate the Habs but grow up man you're just stupid right now.Ference hit wasn't that hard and Grabovski was able to get up and be able to finish the game.
On a more mature side note Crosby already scored twice for the Pens tonight.
Although Carey is stealing one right now.
Ference got one for a soft hit to the head, if there is such a thing, should've gotten two because he's a repeat offender, the travesty is Gryba getting two.

Re: Official 2013 NHL Playoff Thread
Most people and analysts here are complaining about Diaz's suicide pass and are not really asking for a suspension. A loads of fans were requiring a suspensions and barely a couple were thinking this wasn't necessary. You can bet the medias tried everything in their power to make it look like the most terrible accident ever to their dear Habs players. And like usual most Habs fans (not hockey fans, big difference) were cursing Gryba.nino33 wrote:I myself miss "old time hockey" when such a pass and such an oblivious pass reciever was something that was considered a problem

This wasn't a "dumb way" to receive a hit when you're not expecting it. Bergeron's injury with Jones was a dumb way to receive a hit when you know someone's behind you at full speed and you present your back. Eller lack experience and he was probably just thinking about getting that pass and at the speed Gryba was coming Eller didn't had time to protect himself or just react a little, plus he had his head down.Danny wrote:It was a clean hit not even worthy of a minor penatly because it's a dumb pass and a dumb way to receive a hit, that and not making fun of Eller is the point. Telling that the guy who's badly injured, his fault or not, is a dumbass is a lack of respect. Even if it was Moore/Bertuzzi or Kariya/Stevens or whatever hit it was your post was McDavid-ing stupid with all the smileys and the unecessary over-reaction. You were just the typical Bruins fan laughing at something that happened to a Habs player. I freaking hate those idiot fans. And I'm not saying that only some Bruins fans are like that, from both sides.
I love that after I told you to grow up you've posted something decent. There's progress.

Wow! Islanders came back to beat the Pens and tie the series!
Habs tied up their series with the Sens...
Now the Canucks/Sharks are upcoming (and Kesler's apparently healthier) + Hawks/Wild

The Isles are tougher than we think! But I doubt they'll get pass the Pens.

You're the one getting overly emotional about nothing and hurling insults left and right on a message board, just because you don't understand half of what people are saying and take things too literal. Hint, google "rhetorical figures of speech". So yeah, whatever you say about growing up. If you don't get what someone's pointing at just ask for clarification or don't bother replying. Shanaboob was still wrong.philou21 wrote:This wasn't a "dumb way" to receive a hit when you're not expecting it. You seem to forgot that you're behind a keyboard. I cannot sense your sarcasm or whatever you want to use. "Writing" is the correct word not "speech" when you're on a computer. I can understand batdad sarcasm way more than your ridiculous rhetorical post who was looking more like someone making fun of something than anything else. I'm maybe not familiar with your english way of expressing things this way but I handle myself pretty well for the rest, more than half.Danny wrote: You're the one getting overly emotional about nothing and hurling insults left and right on a message board, just because you don't understand half of what people are saying and take things too literal. Re: Official 2013 NHL Playoff Thread
The Leafs have a good chance of winning game two, I predict the series will go six or seven.
I can't see the Habs winning against the Sens, even though they tied the series.
Unless by some miracle the Canucks start playing like a team possessed, I can't see them winning against the Sharks. I think the Sharks will take this in four or five.

The Nucks lost their lead and lost in OT.
Before I got to sleep they were leading 2-1 and there wasn't that much time left in third period!

I knew the Sharks would tie it, and when they did, I was positive they'd score the OT winner.philou21 wrote:The Nucks lost their lead and lost in OT.Before I got to sleep they were leading 2-1 and there wasn't that much time left in third period!

Crazy sequence in the Bruins/Leafs game with maybe 7:15 left to the second period! Rask made some desperate saves that was awesome!
Second period of the Ducks/Wings game is crazy too, fast pace with both goalies making great saves. Great playoffs hockey tonight so far!
Edit: Albe....Abelka...that dude from Detroit will probably get suspended for his hit on Lydman.

It was nice to see Kessel get that goal against his old team. Hopefully that goal boosts his confidence going forward.

The Canucks are done.
What are the chances of Alain Vigneault losing his job?

Bruins? For once I'm glad they won, they better not let the Leafs pass that first round. I second on the Rags though.

Re: Official 2013 NHL Playoff Thread
I dislike the leafs a lot but I dislike the bruins a lot more. Funny thing is I used to like the Bruins way back in the Bobby Orr, Phil Esposito and Gerry Cheevers days but things change.
