So funny crash, every time I try to add another canadian team to the nhl [replacing, etc. my protocol works fine with american teams], it crashes on initialization. It works perfectly fine if I replace it with an american team, or a canadian team with a canadian team. Like any more than 14 canadian teams, and it throws and exception
has anyone ever heard of this?
Id like to just confirm that it IS throwing an exception because there are >14 canadian teams in the NHL. I change "canada" to "united states" and it works perfectly, all 30 teams replaced, just this issue
Debug 0: Changed nothing, Run NHL: Crash
Debug 1: Changed nothing, Run CHL + NHL: Worked
Debug 2: moved Victoria Salmon Kings of ECHL to United States, Regina Flourish of NHL to Canada. Set NHL, AHL, ECHL, and CanHL to enhanced, worked
Debug 3: Ran same, with just NHL, crashed
Debug 4: Ran game with NHL and CHL...worked
Debug 5: Changed back, run with NHL and UHL; Crashed
old thought>So it turns out, to have more than 14 canadian teams, you need canada enhanced
Debug 6: change random ass teams in none empty database to canadian...works
So now it turns out if has something to do with my blank database. Im guessing its cause the teams dont have players. But im not sure why the country would make any difference
thoughts? work arounds? fixes? ?pleH?

Did you try setting the NHL itself (in Competitions, I think) to be based in Canada instead of the U.S.? I'm betting the game doesn't like a league to be "based" in one country, yet have a majority of teams in another. It probably sees that as a conflict.

Yeah, I did that and it worked
I havnt had problems moving teams like Ottawa, anheim, or phoenix, which people said they had issues with. Should I be worried? :B

It's really hard to say. EHM is such a pain when it comes to editing teams and leagues. All I can suggest is regular testing (i.e. run a 1 year sim with all leagues on Enhanced). If you can make it a full year (i.e. until say the NHL opening day in season 2), you should be okay (but no guarantees - if you can test sim for 2 years then that's better).
