Why does my team always rocket into last place after ~30 games? No matter the talent of the roster, the coach, or success over the first third of the season, my team always drops like a sack of potatoes starting around the 30th game. They finish dead last by a mile, in almost nonsensical fashion (for example, winning 20 out of first 25 games, then winning 15 over remaining 50+). Google assures me I am the only person in the universe this happens to. What's going on?

First thing, welcome to TBL! You should introduce yourself in the arrivals forum :)

Generally speaking, the other teams will adapt their tactics to counter yours, so if you run the same tactics and lines for 82 games it only makes sense that once they figure you out you're going to lose more than you win. I have a home tactic, an away tactic, and a "switch" for each of those. I will move people around in between periods if they aren't performing, and I sometimes change my neutral zone defense and defensive zone coverage if I'm losing (in between periods too).

Obviously there is a lot more than just these few things, and if you haven't read it yet I highly suggest that you read the EHM 2007 Guide. You can find it here: http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/wiki/inde ... 2007_Guide

Conditioning is also a consideration, and easy to fix. Guys might be tiring by Game 30. If they are, reduce their practice schedules. Though I don't know that this is as big an issue in 2007 as it was in 2005.
