Practice

Post by ExxonPirate »

I'm managing the Oceanic in the QMJHL. I have many mentionables, like Tomas Vincour, Patrice Cormier, Grachev, Caron, Scandella. I'm trying to turn Rimouski into a hub for player development, but I'm having issues developing players consistently.

Right now, I have Tomas Vincour - the 10th overall pick in the Import Draft - on shooting practice (using Malhotra's Good Practice settings). For those of you who are familiar, the shooting practice drills consist of Intensive Shooting, and Intensive Defensive Skills. I figured this would be the best for his development, as his offensive skills could be better, and his defensive skills (positioning specifically) are lacking. Now, under this practice drill he is improving shooting attributes, and defensive (including positioning) attributes. All's good.

However, I have Patrice Cormier under the same practice drill for the same reason. However, Cormier's positioning attribute (along with other defensive attributes) is regressing. Why? Why would a player's attributes regress, when another player's is improving while under the same training regime. I'm having the same issue with a few others as well.

Any thoughts?
