Put them back on the 1st line with a star on the other wing. See how their ratings go then. Depending on your tactics in EHM 2005 it's sometimes hard to have above a 7 consistently on the 3rd and 4th lines.

I dont expect them to get 7 all the time but to get 5 few times in a row or even 4?!
I did put Jokinen a bit in 2nd line during season as he before played in my 1st and 2nd line and he still didnt produce much. Afinogenov already played last year in 3rd line but gave him 1st PP time so he ended like 7,5 avr rating which is great.
Now that both of them play only 3rd line and still have impressive skills stats they just hard to get 7s.

I know what you're saying Kopi, I really do. I was just trying to give you a suggestion so that they don't waste away on the 3rd line. Maybe put them both on the 1st PP. :-k

hehe no problem! Thank you for suggestion.

Anyway i finished the season and let both of them to go on free transfer and Jokinen retired and Afinogenov went i guess for last season before retirement to CSKA. I did use them both in 2nd line during playoffs and they played very solid but they gas too much so had them like every 2nd game playing 8-)

Ok in next season i decided to make my 4th line as "PIM KINGS" so i had already DJ King and McGrattan and i brought also Boogieman for C. Scary? Well those guys i expected should fight at least once per game yet that aint happen....So i guess small ice time is the problem...so you think if i put each of them to one of 1st 3 lines they will get more ice time and also more fights? Thing is in EHM05 kinda opponents always have a guy that end with 250-300 PIM yet i cant achive that...so any suggeston? :-?

I would only have one player set to "encouraged" to fight. I recently set an NHL record with Brooks Orpik getting 950 something PIM in a single season. He was either my 1st/2nd RD and was set to "encouraged" to fight all season long. I had a few players "allowed" to fight, but I think there were only 2 fights all season that didn't involve Oprik, who would get in 1-2 fights on most nights and win most of them, I'll have to check but I believe he had one streak where he won about 15 straight. Also, it seemed Oprik and the rest of the team really got a jolt of energy out of Orpik fighting. Orpik would regularly get 8-9-10 games when he got a fight + instigator + misconduct but 6,7 when he didn't fight at all (finished year at 8.20 avg rating over 70+ games). He ended up wanting a little less than $3MM/yr which i wasn't willing to pay, but I may bring him back this year if Van Ryn retires. So, maybe it has to do with ice time but also with who he is out there against. Most of Orpik's fights started with the "other team's enforced found a willing combatant in Orpik and dropped the gloves", so maybe it was also the division I played in? (Playing as trashers in patched 07 version, pretty much expanded demo). just figured I'd throw my two cents in there, I really want to get Orpik back to try and get him over 1k PIM.

I have Orpik in my team =D>
Anyway i think the problem is that you play EHM 07 and i play EHM 05...in 05 you can only choose under fighting Allowed or Not Allowed.
I notice how people break records at EHM 07 as they just put a guy at Encouraged thats why im asking how on earth to make a guy in EHM 05 having in NHL like 500 PIM or that he would fight often.

Let say in my game atm Kip Brennan is leading the league in PIM and i checked he play in Leafes 4th line thats it. When we met McGrattan and him fought and thats it. The 1st fight McGrattan had this season and its like 30-35 games in the season.

In my team atm leading in PIM is Ovechkin....

Those who play EM 2005 online (i know you are out there :-D ) let me know how you deal with it?

Maybe what you should do then is set someone like Orpik to check the other teams top enforcer every night, and maybe assign his pair to match up against the other teams fourth line?

Orpik always had fighting allowed till this season as i wanted to focus on those three guys i brought specialy for that.
Orpik normaly end with around 150 PIMs ever season with 2-3 fights max.

What i need to check is that i will now target 4th line with 4th line of opponent. Thats the only thing i didnt do yet..

But i do think that PIM diff in 05 to 07 game is massive.

The online game is much more about scoring.
Fighting (and toughness in general) is more important for EHM07 than EHM05, IMHO
