Man I hate seeing guys leave the game because of concussion problems... that really sucks.
At least he had the breathrough series that got him the notice he's long deserved for his leadership and toughness and ability to just plain get the job done. Every team should be lucky enough to have a Keith Primeau really. I've been a huge advocate of his for many a year and it's a real shame to see him retiring.
Thanks for the memories and for playing hockey like it's meant to be played; full out with no compromises.
I'm definately gonna miss him... especially the class and leadership he showed throughout his time here in Philly. And I'll miss him in EHM too. Just one more hole for me to try and fill.
... And speaking of class, I'd like to thank all the Canadiens fans who booed Primeau for getting up after being hit. It's always nice when your last memory of playing hockey - is you being booed for not staying injured on the ice.
Primeau will be missed alot. He was a great player, and he is a great guy. In spite of my anger at Bobby Clarke for the Kesler rubbish, I have always been a bit of a Flyers fan. I hate being angry at Clarke.
Keith--Get well bud!
BStinson--Try and get Kesler to fill the void. I am sure he will sign with the Flyers, if this game is realistic at all.
That's really a terrible attitude to not acknowledge the leadership and dedcation to the Canes Primeau had, hell he put the darn team on the map. I'd also say claiming that he has a "terrible reputation with all canes fans" is complete rubbish as well.
Not to mention that to say 'good riddance' to a guy that had to retire because of concussion is appaling and pathetic.
I can't say I was ever his biggest fan (never really had anything against him either) but I think it was pretty clear he was always a key part on every team he played. Both on and off the ice.

After he held out for more money after we offered him a 6 million dollar contract over 3 years is an embarresment to say the least.
Any 'Canes fan who was around when they played in Greensboro (as little as that number may be) will agree with me 100%.
