Forum rules

Gray Players in the DEL

This one is pretty old, so I may not be remembering the details, but basically DEL teams are given a bunch of gray players if they're at the 'Home Grown' player limit.

This can become a nuisance when AI GMs use these players, and any stats they accumulate become "phantom stats," as gray are not permanent and get removed or regenerated.
