Can't get the v3.0.4 patch to work.

I posted earlier that I couldn't get my game to load. I re-downloaded the game from the link on this site(try n buy demo) and now it works! However, the download came with a patch. Like I said, the game starts up just fine, but after installing the patch I get an error message when I try to start up the game. I forget the exact message, something about it not being able to initialize without an administrator. I am using my main account with administration privileges. I would like to be able to eventually use the custom start date patch and updated rosters, so I'm assuming I need this patch.

Next time try to do a search before creating a thread almost everything about the game is written somewhere on TBL.

Alright thanks Ill try that! Right now I have the try n buy demo. I thought I read somewhere that they don't sell the game anymore. Is that true?

It's still available. Just do the six months trial and you should be able to buy the game.

Yeah that was my plan. but now I can't get the CSD patch to work haha. The game starts fine, although it does say "unrecognized version of EHM"(which I'm wondering is because its still a trail?). when I go to start a new game the league selection screen still shows 2006 as the start date. I don't know if the patch is supposed to just change it once it starts or if that screen should show 2013? anyways, once I select a league (NHL) and press OK, I get a message that the program has stopped working and must be closed.
