Trade Evaluation

Post by kabbott50 »

I'm trying to make a push for the playoffs in my second year as the Quebec Nordiques (transplanted Phoenix Coyotes), and just pulled off a huge trade with Anaheim, but hoping I didn't give up too much.

I acquired:
Corey Perry
Ryan Getzlaf

Anaheim received:
Alexander Radulov (was playing third line minutes for me)
Brandon MacMillain
1st in 2018
1st in 2019

It's currently February 2015. Perry and Getzlaf both have six years remaining on their contracts, so they're locked in pretty good, whether I like it or not.

Was this good or bad for my future?

You basically stole them for nothing, that's a trade i would never do myself because it's so far out of the realm of possibility.

Yeah, I thought so too. I ended up going backwards because I don't really like using draft picks like that to get top tier talent.

Nice trade but like Peter it's too unrealistic. That's not something I'll do in my games.

I can see how you say that when a team trades 2 starting goalies for a first, a back up goalie, and a 15 goal scorer in real life
