Addons for EHM 2007 available now!

Post by archibalduk »

The Blue Line is proud to announce its first set of addons for EHM 2007!

Archibalduk and Minstrel of the TBL Admin Team have been busy testing the game for SI Games and so this has given them the opportunity to experiment and work on some addon projects in time for release day. Some of these projects are now ready to download now whereas others will be available in the near future. The "Latest Files" area to the right of this text will show you the latest projects to be added to the site.

Here's details of what you can download right now:

* AHL, ECHL & NHL Frosted Logos Set - Due to licensing restrictions, several leagues do not allow SI Games to show segements of logos in the game and so they had to shrink the whole logos down to fit in the schedule screens. These logos are so small that it's hard to tell which logo is which. Minstrel has re-done these logos so that they just show a larger and more recognisable segment of the logo.

* British Logos - EHM 2007 only has EIHL logos. This pack adds logos for the EPIHL as well as frosted logos for both the EIHL and EPIHL.

* British Titlepanel Images - Titlepanel images are a feature new to the EHM series. This allows images and effects to be placed in the titlepanel behind team logos. Check out this screenshot.

* Canadian Junior Hockey (OHL, QMJHL and WHL) Frosted Logos Set

* NHL News Jerseys 2006-07 - Minstrel's famous news jerseys are back for EHM 2007! EHM 2007 allows multiple images for each team and so this pack contains both home and alternate jerseys for every NHL team.

* NHL Team Logo Backgrounds - Background images are back for EHM 2007. This pack contains a background image for each NHL team with a large team logo.

* NHL Titlepanel Images - Titlepanel images for the NHL.

* StoneAge Interface Elements - 'Skin Elements' are a new concept TBL is introducing for 2007, instead of a full skin a skin element just replaces one or in this case a few different graphic elements from the game. This skin element set is a stone-themed and also makes minor changes to the layout of the display so that it is easier to read and navigate.

* Swedish Frosted Logos Set - Frosted logos for the Elitserien and Allsvenskan leagues.

We're still working on some more exciting projects as we speak so expect more files to be released very soon. Keep checking back to stay up-to-date with our progress.

Have fun with EHM 2007!

Don't worry about the lack of NHL player photos in EHM 2007. We already have someone on the case ;)

We will still host EHM 2005 files for as long as we can. We only have limited storage space and so we will eventually have to reduce the number of files we host to the most essential ones.

EHM 2007 facepacks and news jerseys will work in EHM 2005 but I think that is it. Everything else has changed in EHM 2007. I guess commentary for EHM 2007 might work in EHM 2005 but I'm not sure - it's something you'd have to find out for yourself.

EHM 2007 uses lots more different sized logos compared to EHM 2005. Also, the logos need to be of different dimensions.

The way rinks are done in EHM 2007 is different to EHM 2005 and so you can't use them in different versions.

Rinks in the same file locations as for 2005 will work for 2007 but will only appear for the shots taken/game info screen that still displays the 2005 style rink.

The format for putting images on the new 2d ice is totally new and as of yet untested (been waiting to see what they do with the final release version) though I have the information on how to do it direct from Riz, so I'll post in the Graphics/Game Addons Forum soon. :nerd:

Ok thanks for the replys. Will probably wait untill I can get round to buying 07. Bit of a bummer there not releasing it in stores. Then I could trade in a few games for it.

Okay, I've posted an Announce thread in the Graphics/Game Add Ons Forum detailing all the image sizes/possibilities for EHM 2007. Check it out:

http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... php?t=1491

More specific details to follow in that thread but that should get everyone started
