*edit* And for the record, I still HAVE the license code, I just used it twice, and didn't unlicense it, so that's the issue, right?
Yup. Well, you can always try, but each key should only be available twice and once those are used you have to unlicense it on one computer to install it on another.
Use the Support Form and explain your situation. It's been a while for me, but the last time this happened to me, I was able to install the game with the license key again after they reset the key.

I'm pretty sure World Hockey Manager was released... I did test it out back in the day. Had those cartoonish player pictures iirc ?
I thought you were referring to an indie sim project that was actually called Black Ice Hockey, which was in development back in the day when I was still working on EHM freeware 1st generation in the 1990s. I don't think BIH ever got released in any form, so obviously it sparked a lot of vaporware talk. And that was before the freeware EHM that was eventually released to the public was even started and even that had to endure similar vaporware talks before we put the first beta version online
I tried to get a digital copy of EHM2007 today via the Try'n'Buy-Demo and it seems no longer be available.
As soon as you are redirected to the page where you had to buy your digital license, it shows you an error 404 - Site no longer exists. Seems to be the sad truth for "new" players like me not to get EHM2007... Or is there an other way I haven't found yet?
In doing some research on this game, it has led me to here. I read that physical copies of this game were released in Scandinavia. However, were these released with English boxes?
Reason I ask:
Nothing I can find even suggests that these should exist, at least not in English?
Yep, that would be the boxed edition that was done for NHL EHM 2007 as some of the licensed leagues required physical copies. These copies were sold thru league shops etc. So there are some floating around for sure.
We did have a stack at the office as well back in the day, but not anymore as I've tried to send out as many physical copies as I could to people who lost their original key codes etc.
I have not played this game for a long time and lost my license number. I downloaded it again recently and tried to buy it. Unfortunately the web site is gone and buying through the software is impossible because the credit card year you can enter only goes up to 2010 (what a ridiculous bug). I guess that's it for this game.

Unfortunately you cannot buy the 2007 version anymore from anywhere, that is correct.
So Riz... In theory... How long would you say it'd take you to take EHM 2007, rip out all the licensed stuff, maybe re-adjust the "not-AHL" into a 30 team league (and maybe a few others too if you feel up for it), scramble the database to the point of unrecognizably (go New Orleans Foxes!) and release a largely unchanged, license free shell of a game that modders can sink their teeth into for like 10 bucks? It shouldn't require too many 48 hour days atleast, right?
Sure, it may not be what you'd hope your sequel to EHM would be, but it'd be better than nothing at this point...
I might be wrong, but I'm assuming Sports Interactive still owns the game. So I think the big issue there would be convincing them that this would be a good idea
It would probably take a lot more than just a few 48 hour days if you wanted to do it properly and not just as some one-off update that could not be developed any further.
And I'd never want to release anything that's just a shell of a game. I'd want to do things properly and not half-heartedly.
I for one would actually take a one-off half-hearted update thingy at this juncture... But I guess I can see why that wouldn't be appealing to you... If you're gonna dive back into it you'd wanna produce something that you can be proud of and does justice to the legacy of the series as a whole... It's just the whole "can't be bought anymore" thing that just kinda bums me out and this was the easiest way I could imagine that could solve it. Not that that means it's actually easy... *sigh*
I played nhlehm 07 for years but my computer gave out a while back and its completely unusable. Iv been playing the demo but it doesn't go past February of the firtst season. I bought the full version when it was new and I have two cds from then. Is there any way to get the product key? Does having the cds help me at all? I love the game and had nostalgia playing the demo now im desperate to get the full version.
Now, my understanding of copyright laws are rather poor, but if one could provide proof of purchase, would that not entitle someone to have the game installed on their PC, regardless of how the product was obtained?
I haven't checked the licence, but normally software licences require that you do not modify the software. If, for example, you're using a cracked version then you're in breach of the licence because cracking is modifying. Additionally, I believe it's common for licences to require that you do no bypass the copy protection.
So strictly speaking the only way to legitimately use software is to install it as intended - i.e. by entering your licence.
