Perfect. Now it's showing me there are like 164 pages of free agents to look through haha. Anyway to sort them by the best players to the worst players?

You can use the filter or just sort them by reputation, it's to the right...

I didn't want to open a new thread. What's the difference between "NHL Free Agents - Unrestricted" and "Expired - Unrestricted FAs"?? Also, why is it showing all these KHL players that I can't sign anyway? Isn't there a way to see only those players that are actually really unemployed?

Thanks.

Expired shows only the uneployed players and NHL FA's are the players that don't have rights with any NHL team (they may have a contract with European teams)

Also don't want to open a new thread.

If a player is in Europe and has a contract that says it's expiring in two years or so and I sign them for a one year contract, will I not have access to them for two years and signing them is pointless? Or, signing them for a year in July after the transfer window as well?

I invited a boatload of KHL prospects to camp and some did very very well, but I'm afraid to sign them if they're still under contract with their team and I can't get ahold of them.

Also should I not sign young prospects unless I plan on immediately using them in the NHL?

On point A.: Depends on their 'forieng offer release clause'. If they have it, the next (or current) transfer window. If they don't, end of their contract. (Since its camp, probably next window)

B: Yes, unless you want to use them in the NHL, *most* of the time you don't want to sign your prospects. Sometimes I look at who they are playing for (if it's TERRIBLE coaching) or what level thy are playing at (if the kid is playing in the Slovakian 3rd division and appears to be too good, I'll sign him to send him to the ECHL). I also have signed guys with juniors rights to send them to Canada to get used to North America.
Technically, I'm probably shortening their time to be RFA (don't have the current CBA memorized, but you can always google it), but so for in EHM it hasn't been a real probably to resign guys.

Just remember, you'll lose your rights to prospects within a few years, if you fail to sign them.

I always sign my better prospects to entry level contracts (if I see at least an AHL future in them) and assign to juniors or AHL. I've never seen them develop otherwise - aren't they effectively on part-time contracts if you don't sign them?
