There is a lot of thing in Football Manager I would like to see here.
  • 3D Engine.
  • More interaction with the players, and between the players.
  • Team Talk before the game, between periods and after the game. Possibilities to organize parties, activities for the Players to motivate and build the team spirit! (Can be good or bad response from players)
  • Media conference before or after a game, interview with journalist.
  • Better control over Affiliated Team, the staff of those teams.
  • Possibility to give more responsabilities to the staff (Example, let the Head Scout in control of scouting).
  • Contract and negotiations for the GM.
  • Be able to play different roles, only GM, only Coach (With AI GM above you setting the expectation), Both (No head coach).
  • Backroom discussion with the staff, giving you advices and tips.
  • More detailed expectation of the board, more interactions with the board. Expectation from the fans too. Possibilities to organize activities for the fans, special game days for them, etc...
  • More detailed and complex economy system, selling stuffs, merchandise, licenses, TV Contract and more! Signing sponsors deals.
  • Being able to build or upgrade the Arena, selling the name of the arena.
There is so much in my head right now! :P

Most important functions missing from ehm 2007 are:
- ability to track player progress
- multiplayer

Extras:
- more player interactions
- more possibilities to influence team morale (days off etc)

I'm more than happy if those things get added.

What I'd love to see is the ability to manage multiple shortlists at a time. I'd love to have a shortlist for the upcoming draft. A shortlist of interesting young talents. A shortlist of upcoming UFAs. A shortlist of foreign players. A shortlist including only my players. And so on. Right now I could kinda do that by messing with the import/export option in the shortlist menu, but it would be extremely tedious and annoying.

What would be interesting is to have, in the shortlist screen, a view of your different shortlists (kinda like the scouting screen). You can create a new list, name it, save it. And when you want to assign a player to your shortlist, you get a little drop down menu specifying which shortlist you are sending that player to.

It would do wonders for the managing of your Draft/Trade/Free Agent prospects.

I'd also love to be able to assign my own players to a shortlist. Never understood why I couldn't.

I am amazed no one has mentioned the league of 30 St Louis Blues teams yet. With Bernie Federko as the coach and captain of all of them, and the Blues as the Stanley Cup champions. Oh yeah and a team on the moon.

Without having played a game yet

1. Better schedule--which I know Riz will fix ASAP.
2. Better/easier way to get at UFA players and staff to fit with your team.
3. Better hall of fame. I know the one it has had is not really a hall of fame. One in which you can see the basic history of where a guy played even well after retired.
4. Media interaction improvements
5. Trade negotiation and AI improvements.
6. In the games themselves...I have no idea but .... I am sure it will be awesome.
7. Ability to send guys down to the British Field hockey league and finnish floorball league who are widdling me off.

Only if they can trade Federko to themselves for Adam Oates. [-(

Adding more interaction with players/management/media.

I recently just fired/replaced most of my coaching staff, and it's like it wasn't a big deal, it was also a in mid-November, in real life? News outlets would be foaming at the mouth for every little detail. Possibly more news interactions and impact.

Another minor thing I'd like to see added in is maybe more input on the allstar game/draft ie teams (Team Alfredsson/Chara, or Team Foligno/Toews) the location of each ASG and Draft. I mean it's the most minor thing in the world. But it just adds interaction.
Also voting on more than just the Vezina trophy. GM's vote on other awards aswell.

Minor things, but neat/fun nonetheless.

No they don't. Except for the General Manager of the Year award which I believe isn't in the game yet, GMs only vote for the Vezina. Most of the voting for awards is made by the professional hockey writers.

Maybe they can just add it, because it is fun to vote on other things like Selke etc.

I don't know if this was in EHM 2007 and I just never won, or it wasn't possible, but I'd like for humans to be able to win coaching/GM awards.

In my latest EHM 2007 career I started with Medicine Hat, won 5 Presidents Cups, 2 Memorial Cups, and then went on to the Lightning, where I won 7 Stanley Cups, 13 consecutive division titles, 8 Eastern Conf. Champs, 12 President Trophys, and I think 12 consecutive seasons with 50+ wins (one with 62). Through all that, I never once won the Jack Adams Award as NHL Coach of the Year, even though my team would often be listed as bottom 5 in the NHL Preview that you'd get in the news before the season.

Maybe I just wasn't deserving, but I think I should have won at least once lol ... for EHM:EA I'd love it if humans could win coaching awards when they are the GM/Head Coach of the team, and Executive of the Year Awards if they're the GM only.

No idea if anyone has already said this, but i would like to get the same button as in fm for scouting so you can set your chief scout to do the assigments if you like to, im really annoyed having to set it all myself because at least at the moment i just cant be bothered, of course its only my first season so i know the "best" players for the next few drafts but still.

I would like to be able to see team draft other than in the general draft section. I would put it in the history section of the team (see the image below).

This would be my list. Adding all or any of these ideas would make this game extraordinary.

More story lines with players would be great too.

Really looking for something like in EHM2005, where I could manually edit the practice schedules, like shown in this screen. If I'm missing out on how to get there in EHM:EA, please tell me how I get there. :-k

Its there. Drop down arrows for players. If looking to change the routine or routing name.....under schedule. Click the one you want to change and then it pops up to edit it.
