Just my two cents, but I think it would really change things up especially since this first one is more of a test on the new EHM than anything.

Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
Just a thought/feedback, since this version of EHM is brand new and there are lots of adjustments/learnings I think a good idea for next challenge would be to do the Flyers again if the updated rosters are out by then. We are kind of running out of challenge teams but having two first round picks, and the two missing third round picks could really change the challenge especially if the rules are updated to limit trades (which I know you have been meaning to do
)
Just my two cents, but I think it would really change things up especially since this first one is more of a test on the new EHM than anything.

I don't know if we'd get that many people interested in essentially replaying the same challenge with some extra picks.

Nah, don't like that at all... Then you should have just asked for a hotfix from the DB-crew and restarted the challenge right when this was brought to light.. Now i see no purpose for it, i don't want to play with Philly any more then i need

Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
Absolutely would not be. Course I barely get interested in a challenge now. Honestly, in EHM EA the game is so similar in what I can get done with tactics .... that I am not finding it all that interesting and am struggling to play the game for more than half an hour.
I Love it, but it is not the same love I had back in the day right now.

My vote would be Arizona for the next Challenge. They seem to be pretty awful every game I play.

I would wait with Arizona until 2015/2016 rosters are out so we can tank for Auston Matthews
I want the home town hero!

I'm reluctant to use the Coyotes again. We've used them a couple times in the past already.

I see, that last West Conference challenge team were Flames in November 2012. How about Sharks or Wild for example?

Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
Jets could be a good challenge aswell... But one challenge at a time, over 1½ months left in this one?
There will probably be a new DB out by the next one so we can chill

Jets will be too easy. Big and strong and tough with the exception of the Little shrimp.
Game still is somewhat advantageous for the big boys IMHO.

Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
Sabers seems challenging...with many good players injured at start.
But then again would be nice to go on the west next
maybe Vancouver?

Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
WHL? Hmm..... I am in if it is ANYONE but the idiotic Giants or Wintercheats.
Giants just suck though....may be a very good challenge. Their record in the draft and trading the last 5 years is disgusting. Slow plodder, dumb skater slow plodder who is dumb, moron, sieve, guy who looks pretty, NHL players very over rated kid, kid from Vancouver who is half as good as any other kid available, kid who has skill but no brains *no offense but this kid is usually American, plodder, even dumber plodder, kid whose parents buy him a spot and then work a trade when they realize the kid is not getting any ice time because the "Coach hates him" (Hockey speak for entitled parents), dufus kid, then 30 kids from Vancouver who are not really even Junior B caliber players.

We also need to wait until Alessandro says he's happy with how KHL is ingameManimal wrote:KHL would be cool but we need a great guide on how to play in it IMOPeter_Doherty wrote:Been alot of NHL lately, juniors might be fun, then KHL once its updated and up to scratch

Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
I guess KHL will need some time to get into realistic shape but for sure one of best challanges that EHM can offer in the future...for most of us that is unknow territory so many funny things could happen. Also fighting between NHL and KHL in signing players...

But it's for the good, Alessandro is a great guy.
Before having a KHL challenge I'd also think the league should be more polished.

Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
Hey, I have been playing the new early release and have an idea for challenges... I have been playing that I can't make any trades other then I have to trade one of my 3 oldest players for picks at the start of every season. It is really making me focus on my young players and develop them as you can't bring in anyone other then from drafting and your starting reserve list. I think the challenges have gotten way to complicated and this is a much more simple approach that I would definitely be more interested in joining. I've taken the leafs from the original database and it has gotten me quite into the game. I've got like 40 guys on my roster with hardly any forwards in AHL lol.. but Kule and Tlusty looking good. I think this would be much easier for newer players and just much less complicated if u can have very limited transactions instead of all of the rules as they are now... Just my 2 cents =)

Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
That is a fine idea. I do not mind it at all, however others will ... because they do want some flexibility to bring guys in from other teams. Also....this challenge is based on the old game and the old trade AI. As B72 and whoever else gets used to the new system there will be looking at what occurs with the game now, and maybe the rules can change to something much simpler should the trade and game AI allow for it.

Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
I'm fine with switching the rules around challenge by challenge, maybe we should make the next challenge have really easy rules since we have alot of new EHM players now that it's on steam, just to get them involved, then we can go back to and updated version of these rules for the challenge after?
