I am hoping Boston have a better season than they did last year. We need to make the play-offs at least.

They really can't get much worse than they did last year. The only other time I remember them being worse (in my lifetime) was the year they finished last in the league and wont he Joe Thornton sweepstakes.

Yes, I got to some home games. Usually only a couple each season because they're just so expensive. You're looking at at least $35 for the really cheap seats but I can't deal with those. I get a little dizzy sitting that high up with the angle. I feel like I'm going to tumble down. I like the good seats that usually run about $70-$85 a piece. Then it cost about $20 for parking. Then you've got your beers. Those usually run about $6 or $7 each. I don't eat at the games. I just don't like concession food. I'll usually go for a burger or something at a restaurant in the area. Figure that as being a good $30 total for myself and my girlfriend to have something to eat and a drink. The whole outing ends up running me a few hundred dollars! That's not including a stop at the gift shop if I want a shirt, hat, or something else.

I watch most games from the comfort of my living room. There is a local sports network (owned jointly by the Red Sox and Bruins) called NESN (New England Sports Network) that carries every game.

Like I said, it can't get "much" worse. We were the fifth worst team in the league last season. There are only 4 more positions they could finish worse.

Sure, the whole team could die in a plane crash (wasn't that a topic of conversation in an episode of Seinfeld?) or something like that but within reason, there isn't much worse.

Im not suprised. Seems alot of money for one night out. I guess you take you'r girlfreind though and you make and evening of it.

I am looking to go see Phenoix I reckon soon. Would like to go to Panthers but is a bit far away.

It's funny. He grew up in California and I remember our whole family being into hockey but he was always giving us a hard time about it. He just couldn't get into hockey as a kid. Then he settled down in the Phoenix area after getting out of the military and married a women who was originally from Michigan. Now he's a die-hard hockey fan. Go figure!

We used to have a shared set of season tickets in the 'Club' level at the United Center which are the middle of three levels but great seats and yeah those tix are $75 for the Hawks

The lower level is $125 now and the row right on the glass are all $250 a piece. Sit two feet back save $125 dollars.

I prefer the Club level actually because you don't get any distortion from the curves of the glass which you can get on the lower level the frther you are from center. Our seats were about six rows toward center ice from the 'away' net. Ahh those were the days; when I worked in the Law Office. We got two or three sets of tix a month it was awesome.

The real fans are in the 300 level though and if I go by myself I meet up with a group of crazy diehards who all sit in the upper right corner over the home goal right on the bend. Their section has a stairway one one side, and aisle on the other side and there is glass instead of bars/railings along the front edge at the United Center so they call it 'The Penalty Box' you can hear them on TV broadcasts, even over the radio. I'll be sitting with them for the Nashville game.

Those tix are only $15 I think.
