EHM:EA Tactics

Post by Anthonisen »

Hi all.
I'm new, both at this forum and in EHM. I playes the EHM 05 ten years ago with fine succes, but I cannot make it work in EA yet, so I was hoping for some advice. Anything will do.

I startet the game with Carolina Hurricanes. It took me 13 games to get a win (lost in OT and SO a couple times), but I'm having some problems, especially defensively! My players have an idea of dribling in front of my own goal, and on the PK, the players never just dump/clear the puck.

Do you use overall tactics, unit tactics, individual player tactics?
Hope you can help me, just a little :help:

I use overall tactics and set player roles with the personal tactics. Keep in mind, if you do it this way, you will want to find similar players up and down the line-up.

I was in a game, and trying to change my tactics and they wouldn't stay the way I set them... strange.

In General Manager Options, do you have "Use Current Tactics?" set to No?

That means you're allowing your coaching staff to make changes (that's why your changes won't stay they way you set them).
Set it to Yes to have the game use the tactical changes you make whenever you make them (i.e. use the "current" tactics)
