Human Coaching Games

Post by bobmcgoo »

now i've finally got round to actively playing the game rather than just simulating for stats, just wondering if anyone is seeing much more goals in games that you coach yourself? in my first save, it took until period three of game 10 before i saw a scoreless 20 minutes. in my second save, out of the first 15 or so games, only one game was won by a team scoring fewer than four. in my third sim, paying much more attention to tactics, my scores are:
4-2 2-3(ot) 6-3 6-4 3-2 6-4
and all this while playing supposedly defensive, dump and chase, selective shooting hockey! five of the top seven points scorers in the league. it's really quite boring. it's got to the point i don't want my own team to score because it's just unrealistic. i just want a 1-0 or 2-1 loss now and again! this is the same thing that put me off 2007. is it bad tactics (hopefully) or something wrong with the game? advice really appreciated!
