All this works - thanks for all the help.

I have reset my league to scratch - issue I have now is the rookies are not correct (guys like Hall, Kane, Vorecek, Doughtey) are considered rookies and lumped in with the real rookies.

Any suggestions to fix.

Have you erased player stats too? Or just the awards history?
If you erased player stats, then the players you're mentioning would be rookies (as they'd have 0 NHL GP)

Also if you delete Staff Career History data then the Player Stats will be lost if you run the Updater (because it recalculates the Player Stats table when loading and saving the DB).

The best thing to do is to leave the Player Stats and Staff Career History data alone and then load and save the DB using the Updater. This should fix your problem.

Thanks I'll try that... but when Ir est the career stats it does not make all the players rookies (which is why I was wondering what the problem was).

FYI - Any player at least 26 years of age (by September 15th of that season) is not considered a Rookie in the NHL

Hi,

I tried to create Nhl from scratch and followed these steps (replaced said dat. files with new text files and used EHM updater, and tried to erase histories using EHM updater).

However I get these following error messages;

Image

This is the error after replacing .dat file with a new textfile and trying to open it with EHM updater.

Image

This is after erasing staff competition history with updater and trying to import the database in EHM:EA.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong or is this a problem with the database or updates in the game itself?

Any help would be much appreciated.

I think its when you originally replaced the dat file if you put that back in. and then import your changes it should work fine

The Updater error message means that the club_records.dat file is missing.

The error in EHM is hard to know without looking at the DB files. However, check that your colour.dat file is not 0 bytes in size.
