Hello. I have moved your post to the Game Knowledge Forum, as this is not really a technical problem, more of a "getting to know the game" type problem. :-)

I don't think there are any guides regarding waivers / trades, but there is the EHM 07 and 05 guides, where many parts are still relevant to the EA version.

And the game manual: http://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/steam ... 1431526173

Please try to refrain from posting the same threads mutliple times. We will try to answer them where possible but it does take time.
There is also a forum search that may help find answers to some questions you have as they may have been asked before.

I don't know how familiar you are with Hockey, or if you just require game advice. I will assume lesser knowledge to provide a more detailed answer but please don't take this as being too condescending;

Waivers are actually best explained by wiki (yes, really) - I had no idea how these worked and the game is pretty spot on for this as far as I can tell. Essentially if you want to assign someone to the minors and they have a lot of experience you must add them to a list for 24 hours so that other teams can decide if they want to claim the player from you.
It's all designed to prevent teams with lots of money hording talent. Younger players are exempt from this for a period of time depending on games played/their contract start date.
This also helps explain 'offer sheets'.

Trades themselves don't really have a guide - in the NHL money does not change hands, so you'll have to offer a player, draft picks, and/or rights to young prospect players to get what you want. There is a note at the bottom from your assistant GM who advises if he thinks it's a good deal for you(make your own call though), and there is a 'gauge interest' button to find out if the other teams GM would consider it. You'll want them to at minimum say "we'll need to think about this", if it's "not appealing" or anything worse they won't go for it.
You can press this button quite liberally though eventually they will just tell you to make an offer. Early in the game it comes in very handy for figuring out trades and how GMs value things. Draft pick value will most likely be based on a rough projection of where the team will finish in the league, the lower the better for picks though the AI can be a bit dodgy with its demands and sometimes hugely idiotic in what it accepts.
You'll also see a star rating next to players - for your team this is the AI's valuation/desire to acquire them, so this value changes depending on who you're negotiating with. The stars on their players indicate your Assitant GMs opinion on value - again you may want to make your own mind up here. You also see NTC (no trade contract) although if it's in brackets I believe the player would waive the contract clause and be tradeable, and you'll see UNT (AI considers this player untradeable and you will find it virtually impossible to acquire them).

There are other threads that go into more detail so please have a look around, expirement with the game and if you have specific questions then ask (but do try to search first, I know it doesn't always work but it is appreciated).

Yup, I didn't notice you had already posted a thread with the same question. Please be patient, don't spam the forums with the same question over and over. We have a fairly active community. Eventually someone will reply.

What specifically do you mean? Do you not understand how to do it as in where to click and what not, or are you looking for advice on how to make good deals and deal with the trade AI?

If the latter, then we have plenty of threads on that here. Read up. :-)

Have you read the Manual? Pages 51-54 explain the basics of trading/waivers in EHM (with screenshots)
