Yeah, that was a sick goal.
Hank stood on his head last night, made 2 saves that might be up there for save of the year after the season.

Historical rules would be fun!CeeBee wrote:Sports are always evolving. Sometimes for the good, sometimes for the bad. What is pure anyway. 7 man hockey? pitching underhand or from 45 feet in baseball? I'd rather have 3 on 3 overtime than the shootout. I'm not a fan of 20 or more tie games for some teams in a season either. A game where we could choose our own rules or at least play historical with correct rules for the time would be nice tho.

NHL Killjoy #1--Bob Hartley. 2 dmen out in 3 on 3 OT. Ugh.

Monahan-Gaudreau-Giordano could do the job or something like that.

Re: Official NHL Season 2015-2016 Thread
Nope. It is a coach trying to coach the win. Hate it. Knew it would happen somewhere, and hate it with passion. Now others are going to try it. The sit back and wait in front of your net defense was annoying. Van ended up doing it to, while the offense teams skated around in circles. No creativity. Just skate around until tired out, and then hope other team makes a mistake. B-O-R-I-N-G. Ottawa and Toronto OT was awesome for a couple min til the penalty was taken. Then went back to boring hockey, and into the 4x4.
Need to go end to end with 2 on 1 after 2 on 1. Breakaway after breakaway. Want the circus atmosphere.
Flames have plenty of good skating and exciting forwards. Do not need Gio and Hamilton out at same time. It is coaching that will kill this fun, and it has already begun

That "hit" by Price was hilarious! The stare after the collision makes it even more funny.
Glad to see Domi doing good.
At least he got more talent than his father!

Duclair has a good potential but not as much as the other 2 IMO. We'll see soon enough anyway.

Re: Official NHL Season 2015-2016 Thread
I think he does, he doesn't have their hockey-iq but he has the raw physical tools and the scoring touch instead. Wouldn't surprise me if Duclair becomes a 30+ goal scorer with a few seasons over 40 ala Rick Nash. I think Stromes ceiling is the lowest of the three, but he's also the "safest" bet to get there, that's just my view though
Time will tell, will be fun to watch though.

To me that is a good goal.
No kicking motion, and the puck was past the goalie when the player crashed into him. Plus, the fact the Canadien was pushed by a defender, so the contact was not intentional

Re: Official NHL Season 2015-2016 Thread
You know, I've seen many people on hfboards calling it a good goal, I just can't fathom it. At best, the puck is going in, along with Gallagher.Manimal wrote:To me that is a good goal

Coincedental contact with the goalie, no penalty.. but it shouldn't have been a goal.. Otherwise it's saying, sure, go ahead and slide into the goalie whenever there is any contact with you.

If the puck is over the line before Gallagher has contact with the goalie then it's a good goal.

Frame by frame, it's clear there is contact before the puck crosses the line..

That's a close one, the puck has beaten the goalie but it's not over the line before contact. Close call which could go either way for me, hardly a massive error by the ref no matter what call he makes.

by the time the puck touches the goal line, Mrazek's foot is already pushed in the net...Peter_Doherty wrote:That's a close one, the puck has beaten the goalie but it's not over the line before contact. I dunno, mby it's my homerism talking but that's BS call..Especially after watching Wings goal being waived off because Holmstrom was on the Ice.

I would be mad if that happened to my team aswell but from the outside it's a very close call imo.
