EHM EA and NHL04Rebuilt16

Post by proxomat »

Hi guys,

wouldn't it be great, if both games could grow together?

I mean, i love the combo of manager game with action parts.

Even it would be possible to bring up just the game play of the NHL04 enginge to EHM.

Is there a real chance that both parts/crews talk to each other?

I would buy this as a $50 game immediately.

That would be extremely awesome, but the NHL series is EA and I think they would step in if someone tried to make a profit off their game, even one from 11 years ago. As far as I know, the 04Rebuilt guys don't do that much tinkering with the game's inner workings/engine so I don't know how they would pull this off.

If they could make it from scratch (or I guess build off EHM's base) without using stuff from EA, then it'd be feasible, unless I'm missing something.

Sorry, but that will never happen, even if the copyright issues were disregarded. The developers would have to decrypt the game engine code, and even then I believe fitting that engine to EHM would come with great difficulty. Developing a unique 3D engine for EHM would not only be more convenient, but also easier.

I would rather see EHM take more after football manager. Especially match simulation. How awesome wouldn't it be to manage your team like you do on FM during the matches?

Yep, that would be a step in the right direction. Manage your team during a match and better graphics (Matches 3D).

I'm sure, there is a market for it. So many people asking for it. Actual EA games (Fifa and NHL) are not deep enough (Manager part).

That's the reason, why i still love games like EHM.
I started a GM career in 2009 (EHM2007) with 6 teams to manage by myself.
So, after 240 days (save game statistic) of simulation and management, I'm still not tired, playing this game.
