So i guess this will be question that only Riz can really answer, but maybe my curiosity can be served a bit by your experiences.
SO normally the Attribute Progression in game seems to be influenced by a lot of Parameters, Training, PA , Age and Performance... but especially in recent Versions oft the game there seems to be a big Change to atts between the old and the new season. So in your experience or even by real knowledge is this mostly based on luck and PA of course or does the season performance play into this?
End of season progression

Re: End of season progression
Based on what I've seen so far it's hard to tell. My first line consisting of 3 young players (19, 17, 18) all had a pretty good season with about 20min of ice time per game in Swe-2. The LW who was the oldest had a jump of about 24 in total for his attributes at end of season, and he was the one with the worst stats that season. The 17 y/o had a total gain of 40 attribute points that year, but most was early/mid season, the end of season boost was 13 even though he won assist, point, rookie of the year, player of the year and Fans player of the year awards and made U-20 appearances for Team Finland. Finally the 18 y/o won the scoring league (26 goals in about 50 games) and had a whooping 1 attribute gain at end of season. So their performance seems to help the odds of improving, but for me the biggest part in growth simply seems to be game time. I had a russian 17 y/o in 4th line and playing at the point in PP2 who did amazingly well for goals and points considering how little ice time he got. But he only had a gain of about 7 or so at end of season.
I keep a fairly well maintained spreadsheet of attributes and which training I've had them on, and in the early stages it would seem like players have a certain age window where they will improve a lot. For some it's earlier, for others, later. Which is just like IRL. One example being one of my 18 y/o prospects who hasn't really improved much in the 1½ years i've had her (yes, it's a girl) but she still went like #22 in the NHL draft and is 5 star potential, making me believe that her window is fairly late. By comparison the 1st line center that I previously mentioned obviously has his window in the 17-X range, since he has grown insanely much the last 1½ years. The two started out with about 240ish total attrib when I got them at 16-17. He's now at 289 and she is only 257 but they both went as 1st round picks in the Draft and are rated about the same by my scouts. On the flipside another one of my 17y/os who was rated as 5 star potential and sadly got almost no ice time last year and refused to go on loan actually lost 5 attribute points over the year and is now only considered a 2 star potential.
Which brings me to another point. Some players love training, others only like game time. The 19 y/o LW in my first line has shown a 17 attribute gain from just training in the summer whereas the C he plays with only gained 1 over the summer, on the flipside the C got 13 and the LW 14 during the season from playing games, this same quirkiness is found in a lot of my prospects. Some of them will grow from practice just fine, others simple need as much game time as possible or they simply will not grow. Figuring out which of your prospects fall in which category seems instrumental to maximizing growth, if a player grows well from practice it might be wise to keep him around on your specific training schedule rather than sending him on a loan and vice versa. (Besides, all my youth prospects are primadonnas who refuse their loans anyways)
