Well overall our show was rated 'terrible', but I think thats pretty good considering it was our first show and I was the only one with an intrument. :-D

Both April and Jeb got a star on the review page thingy, I dunno what the means but I think its good.

I had my microphone; I just don't know to sing 8-) We were the only ones with instruments so we got a star lol

I'm pretty psyched we got up as high as 'terrible' actually! Also we had 213 people at the show which is pretty sweet, including like 35 "at the door" before the show. We all took off or clothes just after we concluded our rousing rendition of Tear it! :-p

I don't know why we got had a fight in the crowd as a negative for a punk show but oh well... hopefully we don't owe them much for the beer because we drank a schittload of beer! But when we came in they gave us one so I figured they were on the house.

No resting on our laurels; back to the jam t'morra so TDG members should make sure they get rest etc. because I found us a three star jam place called POPomundo Jam for only 50 bucks tommorow! They have a lot of open slots too and the better the jam place the more progress you're supposed to be able to make so Joe you should check it out too.

I wish we could schedule more than one jam session at a time. I understand why they can't have it that way though since people would jsut set themselves up to take every spot on the free places for weeks at a time or at least set themselves up with freebies daily for the next week and nobody would ever get in  But I wish you could set up like one free and one paid jam simultaneously so that you could set up free slots for two days until a spot comes open three days from now at a nice paid place. :dunno:

I don't want to say much about hiring all my friends for top wages until I get my business books from the owner :-p But at worst I can get you guys in and then give you raises for being active. They hadn't had a CEO for a few weeks and five of their employees were listed as inactives. He said he gives raises to people to reward them for being active so I could certainly do that. He seems like a really cool guy actually, the place is run to give punkers a great place to play and have good shows. He said it's pretty much on a just over break even basis since they make up a big chunk of change once a year with a big contest that brings in the big bands. I'm pretty stoked to be involved with 'em really.

I hope you don't mind, Minty, but I've got a couple small requests:

Could you find out where the cheapest places are for these things?:

- Book for 'Basic String Instruments'

Kelsey's Shop - NY 1 010 US$ 1
Lily's Bargain Barn 1 025 US$ 1
Whitley's Clothes N Stuff 1 050 US$ 2
Happy Hour shopping NY 1 050 US$ 1
Feng Shaun - New York 1 050 US$ 1

and

- A black electric guitar(I gotta go David Gilmour style ;) )

You can grab a generic electric guitar for $702 at Big K Productions and $710 at Unicrest or Wanha Punk Records NY. If you want a custom color though they jump up to like 900 and the best place to grab them would be at Plutonium Instruments.

Also, has a conclusion been reached on whether it's better to get your instrument before the skill-book, or the skill-book before the instrument?

Thanks a lot!

As I've been looking for this for awhile and they've finally fixed their forum so the 'stickys' actually stay at the top I found this FAQ about mood and health:

Mood = Increased by :

-Selecting the priority 'Go Shopping' this works only if you have cash on you. Shopping without cash decreases mood. Money is withdrawn automatically from your cash.
-Setting priority to 'Party All Night' this can be done even without money, but it could decrease your health
-Setting priority to 'Compose Music'
-Have good relationships (interact and 'Fraternize' a lot !)
-Certain foods and beverages like chocolate, whipped cream and fancy meals. These can decrease your health and you may need more to gain effect when you use them often. -Alcohol boosts mood but effects both mood and health badly afterwards.
-Special events like wearing a monstermask on Halloween and setting off fireworks on New Years Eve :)

Decreased by :
- Fatique from gigging too much
- Jail
- Long Distance travelling (2nd class normal speed is very bad, flying 1st class and supersonic is worth the extra cash !)
- Shopping without money
- Hangovers
- Fighting
- not enough friendship/love
- Being unemployed/homeless
- Improving Skill
- Talk to Media too long
- Having a pet die
- Having relations die so try to encourage your relations to take better care of themselves DON'T INTERACT WITH CLONES (clones can be recognised by a few clues, a clever person should be able to at least figure out some of them. I won't explain them here because knowing the loopholes in detection could help cloners to improve on their cheatingskills)

Health = Increased by :

-Setting priority to rest (get the best result by moving your character home)
-Eating certain foods. These are very individual so experiment, I personally have no idea which but salads, steaks and mineralwater never harmed anyone in this game.
-Exercise at the Gym, (make sure you have cash, money is withdrawn from your cash automatically)

Flying 1st class and supersonic is highly reccommended to avoid the effects of long distance travelling.
Get appartments in cities you visit often to have a proper resting place.

Decreased by :

-as said : Long Distance Travelling,
-overexcessive touring in general (playing too many gigs wears you out)
-Exercizing while your health is really bad,
-Drinking alcohol
-Partying
-Certain foods like chocolates, oysters, greasy lunches.
-Being unemployed and homeless
-Being eaten by alligators
-Taking drugs (there are some in the game, but they are very rare and using them can even get you arrested)
-smoking
-getting shot (like drugs there are guns in the game, but again they are very rare, if you come across them please report it to the sherriffs or Don Broos. Possessing and using firearms can get you arrested as well))

If you keep all of this in mind you'll usually be fine ...

HOWEVER KEEP IN MIND THAT SOME CHARACTERS ARE MORE FRAGILE THAN OTHERS !!!

Just like RL some people are weaker, or more easyly depressed. You just gotta live with that.

I bought the bass guitar book. I know I can't use it untill I've got basic string intruments, but it was going for like 450$ so I couldn't turn down that deal.

The Flu: guys I got healed by a doc that took my blood and gave me a vial of medicine. I messaged Tara Ricketts who is currently also hanging out at NYU and is a doc about those of you with the flu. You might be nice and send her a message saying how much you'd appreciate a cure but know that I'd sent her a message about it too and we will try to make it up to her even though we are pathetic nOObs and she's been around for almost 800 days :-o

But, if you get the flu don't go kissing other people!

I had enough at payday to get my basic singing book 8-) I'll be able to help out more next payday since I'll be getting a full weeks worth of CEO pay. :joy: Also I'll be teaching Basic Showmanship soon as I should finish off learning punk from Palmer/B72 soon.

There's a $1,172 sales job open at a place called The Allround Prophecy it's a record studio. Sales jobs you need to have at least mediocre charm but if you can qualify and can quit your current job check to see if it's open 'cause that's gotta be close to if not the upper limit for sales jobs.

For my CEO job I gotta fly to Paris to pick up these books from the owner who has big shows coming up (Check it out: he's a member of Kong... Luke Hall) he said he'll give me a 25,000 bonus so I could certainly make it up to y'all when I return! I just wish I hadn't bought that darn singing book today 'cause I coulda taken a nice flight instead!

Thanks to Ox though, you're the king :elvis: You'll have to jam w/o me tommora but I can hopefully fly back in time for our CBGB show at least. He said he could give me a share in the company for my trouble if I can stay aroudn to build enough realtionship w/him to do it which would be uber cool. It's gunna be like Christmas when I come back!

I've got the flu now. I know I shouldn't have kissed all those girls that had the flu. Oh well!

I got my microphone and electric guitar last night. I love getting paid! I figure I'd better get those first since we've got another gig coming up and not bringing instruments affects our rating. Not know how to play the instruments shouldn't be as bad of an effect.

I checked on that sales job Minty mentioned and it's been filled. Oh well! I can't quit until tomorrow anyway. I've got a $700 bartending job but I've got my charm up to decent. One thing I noticed in my "diary" is that I've gotten all the "newbie experience points" that I can. Now I have to earn them. Anyone have any idea how to earn more points?

Once you are hospitalized the nurses take care of you until you are well enough to be released. Just rest.

However for future reference did you happen to notice the gigantic post I copied in to the thread about 6 posts back that is from the FAQ about health and mood? ;) Check it out.

So, April has arrived in Paris! It's really wild that a few weeks ago we were just bumping along in the game and now I've admittedly lucked into a serious case of right place at the right time asking this guy if he'd take a chance on me as CEO of the club. It's really bizarre being in Paris all of a sudden! I am so not worthy to be hanging out with this guy and the resto of the guys that make up the #4 Punk band in all of Popo but I'm going to enjoy the ride!

EDIT: "Sid Vicious the dog (rottweiler) sniffed at me." Luke has a Rottwieler named Sid Vicious, ain't that bad ass? =D>

Anyone considering a job switch should wait until I get back in town and I'm pretty sure I'll be able to set you up! Since I actually flew out to Paris and this was my idea hopefully it will show the guy I'm serious about the job and the game and I can bring some of y'all in to work at the club

 I knew I was forgetting something! About the Newbie Points, yeah we only get them for the first 15 days. After that we get 1 to 3 points based upon activity, if you jam at least once a week they say that should be good enough to get you a 3 most weeks and I think they get doled out on Sundays iirc.

Okay! I've got a share of TPIH now as well as an obscene amount of money in my bank account.

I got a sweet tat to celebrate but darn are they expensive!! One character was like $850 but there is a really good shop here in Paris and it turned out "terrific" which is cool 'cause there's nothing worse than a botched tatoo!

Ox I got your drums already here in France and bought you a black leather jacket as a thankyou 8-)

I'm flying back at noon so by evenin I'll be back in da big apple! :joy:
