Can't sign players nor view Free Agents

It's July 1st and I just appointed myself as the GM of the Red Wings but I don't have the option to sign players. I've tried making a new GM and re-appointing it to Detroit but it still doesn't work.

This is using an edited version of the first roster, with the latest patch. Is there any way to fix this save? I'd rather not sim 20 years again

I also just discovered I can't make trades

Edit: Ignore the first part of my post. If you are able to scout him, he is not one of those fake players I was talking about. Not sure what is wrong there. Again, try to advance one day and see if things change.

The second picture shows no NHL free agents because there are 26k players filtered out....check your filter to see why are there no free agents available, you probably placed an unreasonable restriction in the filter that is retrieving no matches.

Regarding the trades, if you are in the NHL I believe there is no trade restriction in July. Have you tried simming a day a see if the problem persists?

I also still can't trade any player or to a team but I can offer to all and modify the trades. I am also able to extend contracts to my player.

I am not sure what info would help you, as I said I used the very first roster there was for EHM:EA, the one compatible with EHM07. I then modified it to give every player 200 PA and imported it in my EHM and since then I've simmed 20 years and I have added a GM to the Red Wings. That's pretty much it, I've tried adding a GM to another team and it still doesn't work, saved and reoppened didn't work either.

I'd post this on the SI boards as well, and upload the save file so Riz can look at it.

I don't see anything obvious causing it... but there still may be a silly switch somewhere.
