Prolonging a players career

Post by Curt-97 »

I have players that are retiring very early. Some as early as 33. I'm playing with the EIHL, so its not a major league. I know a lot of NHL players play well into their 30's / early 40's.

I'm trying to use the editor to stop players from retiring so early, but nothing it working. Does anyone have any ideas to how I can stop people retiring during the off season? I've tried lowering their age, improving their attributes, increasing their rep but nothing is working.

Sorry, I'm not aware of any way of stopping a player from retiring (or reinstating them after they do retire)
FYI playing in the NHL at 40+ is very rare https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_o ... ue_players

I think I've found a way, by reducing their age and improving their rep, the player I was trying to keep didn't retire. He is only 33 I'm not trying to get players playing in their 50's of course. I just increased his age again once pre-season came around.
I know they don't play well into their 40's in the NHL, But on EHM NHL calibre players don't retire until into their 40's. They just playing in other leagues then the NHL, SHL,KHL for example.
