Think you're a good EHM GM? Our GM Challenges dare you to take over a team and make it a winner. The Challenge Forum and Centre are the hubs of our Challenges.
Okay, with the patch out and most people around midway with the Fantasy Draft Challenge I figure it's time to decide on who our first team-based Challenge will be.
Our criteria for a Challenge team is (usually) a team with a lower payroll buget and one that would need a GM's help to make the playoffs "out of the box" so to speak. We don't take on well built/stocked teams because that doesn't provide enough of a test for the badass TBL GMs I also didn't add any teams we've already done as a Challenge team.
The Yotes, Flames and Isles have full 'spend to the Cap' budgets but the others do have lower budgets that a GM would be required to hold to or get our beloved Salary Penalties.
So let me know what you think. I know that Tom will ahve a hard time deciding between which Southeast team to vote since it's his favortite conference in the whole world
Edit Calv: A major mess up on my part made meant I accidentily clicked on chicago instead of Columbus, and I can't change the poll results however we will be going with Columbus as that is what I intended to vote.. sorry about that guys!

We did St. Louis but it was very late in the 2005 cycle and after the NHL playoffs so I think a lot of people were burned out on the game/waiting for the new version at that point.
I thought for sure you'd vote for someone from the Southeast as I know how much you love that Division
I went for Coyotes as they are probably the hardest team overall of these and I too would want a Western challenge. Second choice would be CBJ, Chicago has such an insane prospect pool that you can just trade out these guys and build a darn good team from the start if you are playing for the short-term win which isn't really the challenge ethos. Plus I always use them for my career game.

As soon as we decided on a team people can start But I'd say we'll see how thing go with the poll, give people prolly till Monday evening to get their votes in.
You can both start two weeks from now and still end up finishing before most normal people so stop squabbling
For Challenge 6 new entrants can begin as soon as Monday when we decide on the team we'll be using that afternoon. Those of you still in the battle for Challenge can begin the following Monday
Okay... most/all of this is covered if you read through the four threads that are linked at the bottom of the Challenge Info Box. They are basically in order, so it will show you all the steps needed to sign up, setup your team, play within our rules, record your stats correctly, etc. We have developed a recording sheet as well as an Excel database that automatically calculates your stats.
But, to summarize the way the rules are set it very obvious if people are cheating and if we suspect they are we can ask anyone for various screens within the game. The design is to look at Challenges as rebuilding efforts and to focus on it being a three year set; second year Challenges' bonus points are scored differently to additionally reward improvement over your Season 1 team. If people are willing we'd do a third season as well though we haven't yet.
Welcome to TBL red-dog Always great to have new people join the Challenge, they're a lot of fun. Start checking out the threads linked underneath the Info Box on the Challenge Forum main page if you haven't done so yet to get all the rules/info you'll need to get started
Looks like Columbus but we'll wait until 5 anyway since I posted a deadline may as well stick to it
