I guess, but your statement that he's in decline is very wrong imo.

Given he's a Swedish goalie who plays for the Rangers, I'm so surprised! :-D

I'm not sure what's wrong with pointing out potential bias; there are stats/advanced stats that support both sides (for example, Lundqvist's GAAA has been going down for years, and his GA%- has been getting worse too) but I have no interest in arguing stats; people are allowed to have different opinions!

I'm the only one of us using objective stats to support my argument atleast, so maybe it's you who has bias against him?

GAA is the +/- of goalies, it's a team stat and close to useless in evaluating an individual performance.

Sorry, that was a typo, my GAAA was supposed to be GSAA (Goals Saved Above Average); take a look, see for yourself http://www.hockey-reference.com/players ... qhe01.html

I keep saying people can have different opinions, you keep acting like you're the expert and only you are right

Well, you keep being super condescending whenever you write anything to me, that plays into it.

But whatever, agree to disagree on Lundqvist i guess.

Edit: GSAA doesn't factor in shot quality at all and Rangers had a miserable defense the last few seasons which allowed an insane amount of high danger chances against.
He was in the top-3 of adjGSAA/60.

I repeatedly try to say people can have different opinions, which I don't think is condescending....you repeatedly argue as if you're the only one that knows/understands hockey (notice you "agree to disagree on Lundqvist i guess" and then argue stats some more), which I think is condescending

I don't argue as if i'm the only one who's right, i try to make a case for what i believe in.

When i say ur condescending i don't mean in just this argument either, you've always been condescending towards me on here.

And yeah, you pointed towards a stat which imo is flawed and i pointed out why i think it's flawed.

We're in a thread where discussing and arguing why X player is Y good is the whole point.

This isn't an argument; I'm not trying to "make a case" (seems you're the only one in the thread doing so, others just express their opinions by ranking players); your stat to "prove your point" is subjective (shot quality) and I already said I've no interest in arguing stats; I expressed my opinion in relation to EHM (which I thought was the point of this thread, not "discussing and arguing" about players).....at the end CJ's been totaling up the votes, not giving anyone's vote (opinion) more credence than another; I don't see the need/value to directly argue against someone else's opinion/attempt to "prove" they're wrong)

You can have the last word if you want, I want to/choose to be done with this
