Not sure about the first one of those, but would be good to have the name/numbered jersey in your team's colours as a graphic for signing a new player in the relevant news-item.

I really like the idea of seeing the backside of the player jersey in the profile. This would be relatively simple to achieve, too: all Riz would have to do is make a jersey folder to the game, in similar fashion as logos, as well as a folder for personalised letter and number styles for each team (fonts, essentially), and a function that writes the name and number on the jersey. The community could do the rest.

While more customization is always nice, all these pictures look very crowdy to me

I understand the rant, I wanted to provide some visuals with the wish, I'm absolutely sure there is a better way to sort it out and make it look nice :)

Not a rant, I think it's a really cool idea.

I get that they were just mock-ups, just thought the top one with Hank and the Jerseys looked a bit busy.

Definitely think that the more player pics, logos, ice logos and jersey colours we can include in the game will add to the character of the game and make it seem less like numbers on a spreadsheet.

Abolutely agree on this last sentence.

I'll play a bit and try to get some new submissions here soon, maybe we could start a new thread about adding jersey visuals to the game ??

I had an idea a while back about making Jersey pics as the 'club news' pic (instead of just a logo).

Wouldn't be a problem for the NHL teams but would be for lower-down the leagues (in terms of finding good images)

I guess it could be a nice feature for the top clubs, and some people will always be happy to design their team's jerseys at some points. Templates exist, some guys are gifted with Photoshop, the starting point/founding idea is more important I think

Having the jersey as a team avatar for some messages in the news is clearly a plus to me, and could be a cool feature in some moments of the season too (i.e : ability to retire jerseys => see the banner of said number ; draft report news with jersey number linked to draft year, etc etc )

If the admins think this is subject to a new thread, I think we can split and have the new thread started with my first message

It's a "Wish List" thread, so people definitely have the right to wish for whatever they want...but I suggest not getting your hopes up

Riz has very limited time for EHM, and I think most (all?) of his attention is going towards improving the gameplay (which IMO makes sense)

The EHM Wish List thread is 28 pages, the SI Wish List thread 9 pages, and virtually all wishes are gameplay related (Riz has a lot on his plate/I'm not sure graphical improvements are likely anytime soon)

Are you planning on making an actual graphical add-on compatible with the current game, or are we still just wishing? If that is the case, I think it's okay to remain here.

You can't place jerseys there like in the picture. That's why it's here in the wish-list.

I had this idea a few years ago already and tried it. :-D Putting jerseys within logo pictures etc. There's only room in the upper-left corner left of the name. And a few pixels left and right of the players face. But both too small to do anything about it.

Of course. You can put anything you want in-game instead of logos if you want to.

Two things I would like to see would be when you visit a team page i'd like to see the team record right next to the team name. Here is an ugly visual haha
http://imgur.com/a/ETxfP

Also on the NHL players stats page. It only shows the top 50 in each category. I'd like to see that expanded to include everyone that has played a game in the NHL that season.

I'd love to see KHL refined a lot. A lot of small things that bug me when trying to play KHL as Jokerit (my irl home team).
Not being able to buy Finnish juniors (Jokerit don't activate Foreign offer release clause. Maybe a KHL release clause would be better?)
Not being able to offer contracts to players drafted by NHL-teams (Drafted, not signed. Why should KHL respect NHL rights when NHL doesn't give a darn about KHL rights?)
An actual KHL draft.
Addition of MHL and VHL as playable leagues.

Not everyone wants to play NHL in EHM, and getting a less-than-realistic experience really drags the game down for me.

Wasn't the 2016 Draft the last KHL Draft? http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/khl- ... struggles/

Aren't the players coming over to NA to play junior hockey in hopes of getting drafted by an NHL team? i.e. it's the players that don't give a darn about KHL rights

My understanding is NHL Draft rights only last two years; are there any examples of NHL draftees choosing to play in the KHL when the NHL team still has rights?

FYI - with the editors being worked on (by Riz and by Archi) in the future you'll likely be able to make what you want to happen actually happen :-)

Still, it should be possible for KHL teams to offer contracts to drafted players. Accepting the offer is completely another matter, though.

It's a Wish list so I don't begrudge anyone asking for something!

But if it doesn't happen IRL, it seems to me it's more something to expect to be done with an Editor (are there any examples of NHL draftees choosing to play in the KHL when the NHL team still has rights? if it actually happened IRL, I'd feel differently about it being in the default game)

Yes, but most people do. It is the best league in the world by far. And as Nino states in another post, if it doesn't happen in real life you shouldn't expect it in a game unless you want to edit it yourself. The NHL actually does give a darn about KHL rights, that's why the two leagues have an agreement.

Thanks for informing us that there is sand in desert...

Can't wait for Cody Mcleod and Ryan Reaves to sign in KHL and broke all Mozyakin's records...i think it is very achievable goal...

Disclaimer: Haven't followed this discussion 100% so let me know if this is not what you were talking about

NHL teams keep the rights on Russian players they draft until they become NHL UFAs (until they are 26-27). Think it's because the NHL and KHL doesn't have a working agreement.
I know this because the entire NYR fanbase freaked out when Igor Shestyorkin signed an extension with SKA until 2019, but we have his rights until he's 27.

There are more examples, Nikita Gusev is a good one, drafted by Bolts in 2012 but they still have his rights and he intends to come over at some point.
