This is a bit of a strange request, but there's a back story here.

My girlfriend and I are planning to get married next November so almost every conversation we have revolves around planning and whatnot. Last night we were at the Bruins game sitting behind the home net. My girlfriend is a big Tim Thomas fan so she wanted me to get a picture of him on her camera phone. I snapped a couple of pretty good ones, but it gave me an idea which she immediately loved.

When we get a date locking down, we are going to send out "Save the Date" postcards to everyone on our wedding list. My idea was to get a good shot of Tim Thomas making a save for the front of the postcard. Get it? "Save" the date? Clever I know :-D

The problem is searching on the web I haven't been able to find a picture with a high enough resolution to print. With all the hockey oriented graphics gurus on this site, I was hoping some of you might have some tips on where to look or have a good picture in your database.

I'll be sure to post the final version when it's done for your enjoyment.

Thanks in advance.

Here is a first draft of the Save the Date card. We haven't locked down the exact date yet, but it should be something like this.

Why does it say Save the Date if you are getting married?

I would expect people who are getting married don't need their dates saved...

Looks nice, though. :)

LOL, I never thought of it that way.

Thanks for all the congrats, we are very excited, it should be a great time. We expect our wedding to be fun and different so we wanted our card to express that.

Now to get these printed up :-D

I think it's one of those things that doesn't enter into your realm of knowledge until you're of an age where you've had a lot of friends get married; us old folks know right away what "save the date" means, especially in this context 8-)
