Sorry to hear that, even though I never got it to work... I don't know about the PS3 app but for me HockeyStreams is more expensive and less satisfying visually, so I'll sit tight and hope the they will buff their Bandwidth or whatever to support 4500kbps/60fps+ streams in the near future.Danny wrote:Well no point trying it out now, due to some idiots on reddit posting pirated GCL links for VLC player the guys at Neulion who run GCL have closed that loophole now, unfortunately the XBMC player was using a similar script to obtain the HQ files so now people with legit accounts using XBMC are screwed too. Since the PS3 app is a failure as well there's now no way for me to watch the games I'm paying for in even semi-decent quality. I might have to go with HS from now on.

Well got fed up with the PS3 app so I bought an used Apple TV on ebay, their app is supposed to support those 4500 kbps streams flawlessly.

Re: Streaming Hockey TV Broadcasts (legal links only)
Can someone, that had both gamecenter and hockeystreams, tell me if the quality,or rather the FPS, of the following link is closer NHL:GCL or Hockeystreams? I think that NHL:GCL has much lower FPS, should I switch to Hockeystreams? DOes the quality there equals the one from the link? They claim to have higher FPS on their website? Any feedback is appreciated.

Re: Streaming Hockey TV Broadcasts (legal links only)
I haven't had Game Centre for about two seasons now, but that link is much better in terms of framerate. Image quality isn't quite as good - Game Centre is sharper and has a little more detail. The YouTube video looks a bit flat/compressed - but it's still very good.
I remember there used to be a sample video on Hockey Streams. I think that YouTube video is very similar in terms of quality and framerate as the Hockey Streams preview (from memory).

I think that I prefer the higher FPS rate over the sharper picture. Anyone that has/had Hockey Streams??

Re: Streaming Hockey TV Broadcasts (legal links only)
Many of the teams in the Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) stream their games for free http://www.theaihl.com/leagues/custom_p ... ageid=8866. The season starts on ANZAC day (25 April for non Aussies and Kiwis) and runs to the end of August so once the NHL playoffs are over there is still hockey to watch!

I have both GCL and HS... GCL has a higher quality image, but seems to have less FPS... HS has a more washed out image (less colors, more compression???) but a much smoother experience (more fps). TBH the only reason I still have GCL is because I love the goalie cam during warmups lol.m0fownz0r wrote:I think that I prefer the higher FPS rate over the sharper picture. THanks! Maybe I'll pay for a day and check the quality of the streams, however it seems to be 30+ $ more expensive for the whole year subscription..mpronger wrote:I have both GCL and HS... The AHL are streaming all of their games on the 7th Jan (this Saturday) for free here: http://ahl.neulion.com/ahl/schedule?day=1/7/2017
You have to use the code AHLFREE17 when buying the games. I think it requires a sign-up

Thanks for sharing!

Talking about the topic here, it's pretty hard to tell what stream is legal and which one is not actually?!

Is there a way to improve the resolution though? I've found that you can only keep the screen quite small while watching. It'd be nice to be able to go slightly bigger!MWE wrote:If you hve a bet365 account most NHL games are free to watch.

It is quite a small resolution but I find it perfect for playing EHM and watching the games at the same timeSetzingersCat wrote:Is there a way to improve the resolution though? I don't remember how, but you can get to a bigger stream, probably clicking on "now live" banner on the right side. Of course it's not like a 4K stream, but better than the tiny square.SetzingersCat wrote:Is there a way to improve the resolution though? Aye, I do the same while playing EHM. Also allows me to discreetly watch the SHL at workMWE wrote:It is quite a small resolution but I find it perfect for playing EHM and watching the games at the same timeSetzingersCat wrote:Is there a way to improve the resolution though? Yeah, I've watched a handful of Farjestad games on there in recent weeks. Don't think there's commentary on it, but it's still pretty good.
They've got a lot of SHL games on, on Thursday evening.

Is it just simply a case of registering on the bet365.com website?

Almost. You need to have funds in your account. Minimum deposit on there is a fiver. I tend to use them as my bookmaker anyway but I always leave 1p in in my account so I can continue to stream!

The EIHL playoff final will be broadcast live this Sunday here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/ice-hockey/39510451
Faceoff is 4 pm (BST) and I *think* it should work regardless of your location

I'm not sure if anyone else likes Champions Hockey League in here, but on official CHL's website you can watch almost every game for free (except those with broadcast in TV in your countries)
You just need to click on match banner you want to see in front of the page.
