Folder "data\hints". You can open the file with any basic text editor.

Anyone noticing a big slow down with simming? Trying to sim a few seasons with the 98-99db and it is taking FOREVER just to get through one season with my usual set up(Usually a season took about 75-90 min). Took about 6-7 Hours to get through one season last night

Do you sim just the NHL selected and only on Quick Sim? For me 75-90 minutes is unheard of! :-o

Might be exaggerating a but lol. Usually have NHL Enhanced and the other leagues I have active as View Only/Quick Sim. It's been ridiculously slow, like 5-7 minutes to go through one DAY. Think it took me 2-3 days to go twenty seasons when I did my long sims to see how things shaped up.

With my testing I have all Leagues selected and on Enhanced, Sim Detail is Maximum for everything and database size is Full...and it's about an hour a month, so 10-12 hours per season; IIRC my 30 year "regen testing" took a couple IRL weeks for each 30 year test save :-D

I'd say there is a little bit too much goals per game in the newest update. But just a little.

Also, I think it was the same already before but the centers get way too low ratings. For example in my current save the best winger avr in NHL is 8.63. Best center avr 7.89. And 25th best winger has avr of 7.71 and in centers it's 7.07. Actually just the 33 best centers have average rating over 7. I know there is more wingers than centermen but I'm on my 10th season and has been always wondering why do my C's get so low ratings. Crosby had 80gp 41g73a114pts +58 7.24 last season.

edit. Yup, what CeeBee said: it has been the same since this version came out.

Centermen have been getting poor rating since this version of the game came out. I'd say they are under-rated by at least .5 and maybe as much as a full number. ](*,)

One more thing about centermen: at least in my current game all the centers in top 20 of scorers have shooting % of 23-26. Wingers have 12-19%...

Agree happened to me to. Havent playd since tampa challange c42 mid 2016.

Played this weekend alot and my wingers on 1st line got Van Riemsduk 8.31 AVR and Jake Virtanen 8.16 while the center Horvat have 7.00.

VR 17g+39a=58p +37
JV 29g 26a= 56p +36
Horvat 23g 35a =58p +34

Horvat is young with 22 years and maybe not as developed as riemsduk. Virtanen is 1 year younger and about same lvl player with same stats and +-. But alot lower AVR.

Salary Cap????

Post by Trev77 »

I have been playing this amazing game for years, I just have one (what I consider) major issue that hopefully someone could give a reason for or even possibly "fix"...... Why doesn't the salary cap ever change????? It would be amazing if it changed year-to-year!!! Is there any way to make this happen??? Anyone know anything about this? Am I the only one???? lol

Thanks,

Trev

I'm the GM of Örebro HK in SHL, have won the Le Mat the two last years, but non of my players want's to sign new contract. To win the league and not wan't to stay is pretty crazy to me.

Someone with the same kind of problem?

They should do something about this :)

Always try to sing players with "team option" as well...Don`t think its a bug..sometimes they just want to wait till the end of the season..was till last week and if they dont want to sing then they want to try to see their options on free market! Normally once they are on free transfer they want to sign back. We SHL is a big league so they might try to see if some KHL or NHL teams might try their luck or DEL who can pay good money...

When you sign a contract with a player..in Europe mostly like 1 year deals so make sure you put under bonuses and check "team option" which means you can extend it automaticlly for one more year if you like the player.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but does anyone else have this problem where your team is rated very poorly by the media in the Season Preview? I just started a save with the Predators and there's no way they should be predicted to finish last.
I've always used this preview to see how the standings might look and who could get a lottery pick for trading purposes but it looks like it doesn't have much logic behind it?

I'm guessing it's just the combined reputation of all the players. Your players have the lowest rep. :dunno:

The season preview is weird in EHM 1 compared to EHM 07 IMO. In my five seasons with the Saskatoon Blades, despite being in the top of the league each years, I was laways rated in the last teams. The reasons are that the season preview is always coming up during the NHL's training camps so my best players were all away.

I guess it's because of that clown P.K Subban :dunno:

But on a serious note, you might be right. I've had this problem before even when I finished 1st in the NHL and kept all of the players, the next year I'm projected to finish 26th or something like that. Weird..

I'm currently playing in Britain League 3 North 1, so I don't know if this is across the board for this issue or not, but I get teams trying to sign away either my players or my coaches and I have to accept or reject. I keep rejecting over and over and over and the offers keep coming from the exact same teams. It's incredibly repetitive and aggravating.

With the players, I can set them as untouchable and usually that will lower the amount of offers, but not completely.
With the coaches, there's nothing I can do. I have to manually reject the offers every two days.

Does anyone feel like too many players put up a lot of goals while it seems assists are a lot harder to come by. For example in any given year in the real NHL 25-30 players will finish with 30+ goals where as in the game it's usually around 45 players that put up 30+ goals at least from my experience. As far as assists, from what i've seen it's rare for a player to get 60+ assists in this game.

Is your team 'Amateur' or 'Semi-pro' in that league (it's usually a mix).

In general 'Amateur' teams are vulnerable to having their players/staff signed-away.
